You both should seriously consider the true implications of communism and socialism. This is propaganda my guy and it's arranged this way purposefully. Take the accounts of the many people who escaped communism and their horror stories. If you're looking for shared resources and community cooperation, look for "Intentional Communities" that's more the style of community modern "communists" actually want. Please understand that there is nothing holding back communist countries and economies other than communism itself. For example, look at what happened to Rhodesia or the USSR. It's a fever dream that may be functional on a very small scale (say at most a county holding around 10,000-20,000 people max), but can't hold a candle to the success and prosperity in a larger scale as economic principles like laissez-faire economies produce. Under a communist system the government is given near if not complete control over currency, domestic production, exports, et cetera. As with any system, the person who controls any one of the following: money, food, basic needs, housing, electricity, news media, hold all the power over the people as they are completely reliant on that one thing for survival with no other avenue to fend for themselves and this creates a few problems; -1. You've made a fatal flaw that can be summed up with the saying, "Don't put all of your eggs in one basket." Often this leads to disaster. -2. You create a system in which there is no place for discourse, as the people become reliant on a single system of government, and that can impede the solving of any problem that may present itself politically. This allows for the creation of a propaganda factory in which people are spoonfed false hopes and fever dreams. -2a. To elaborate, think for a moment about how ideals develop on an individual level; Your mind is moulded by your upbringing and experiences, which will ultimately instill your individual values in your mind, which allows you to research political ideals and determine what system fits best and aligns the most with your own values. The fundamental problem comes when you apply it on a scale equivalent to say, the federal government. Ever wonder why the United states is called the united States? For the simple reason that things tend to fit better within a smaller scale and the people are much more capable of self governance, and more accurately reflects the values of the populace and- Y'know what this is pointless. Try to understand the beauty and intricacy of systems like the electoral college and having Bicameral legislation. Not to mention your individual liberties are severely threatened under such a system. Try looking into libertarian ideals and save yourself from the communist pipeline before you're too far gone...

@@theoneandonlyfalafel I don't support countries like the Soviet Union their communism is a bit too hard for me, I like socialism I support democrat ideas I still think that people should be voted into power, but I don't agree with companies owning millions I think the middle and lower class should be paid more, and the poor should have housing, but capitalism does not like that, But The reason I'm with these guys is y'all force us into Connors (TLDR: I support a Mix of both)
