The leaf was beautiful before you added green. Take a look again with just the copper and orange and black. A little shading of the orange and copper colors into the larger area of black would have been stunning. Don't know if you have much Black in your color scheme??

Love all these. Your crafts are so classy. The leaf tray was my very favorite. I will admit watching you paint the monkey pod bowl made me a little sad. It is such beautiful wood and wildly expensive. I used to have three pieces made from it and the box they were in went missing in a military move. Your bowl turned out absolutely beautiful and is more in keeping with today's style, so who am I to complain. 😊 You do you.

I knew it was expensive wood. I actually love it unpainted. but the bowl was cracked and to sell it, people love white. I thought about distressing it to where the paint is barely on there. But my sister said to just leave it, because it looks gorgeous painted too. 💖 But I totally understand. Thank you so much and thank you for watching! 💖

You can cover a piece with clear wax or I just use a topcoat before I use distressing wax. That way you can better control the amount of color from the distress.
