Game is mechanically decent, and the theme works because it fully embraces the cringe, instead of trying some half hearted "ironic" thing.

Tbh my only issue with it so far is that it is WAYYYYY to rng based, they need to add a mechanic where you are more likely to gain X thing if you have X support cards

@@the_clumsy_wizard8910 to be fair, I don´t know any ¨somethingbuilder roguelite" game that does this "weighting" where they see you are using certain pieces and make it more likely that you'll get something, if only because a system like that would be very complex to make, and would cause devs to "force" some gameplay style on the player. What maybe could be done, but that would require a complete restructure of the balance of the game, would be the "shop leveling up" like you see in some autobattlers and roguelites. Like, in the first few battles, the game gives you mostly common perks and emojis, and as you proceed, you start seeing mostly rarer perks.

@@sousuzumi so how it works right now you could for the first 2 battle find 2 perks that are needed for vampire builds so you pick them... then you NEVER see any vampires in your run. Also that system won't force anything it's just "oh if you have vampire support cards you will most likely see at least 1 vampire" type deal. As is right now I've had about 20 runs where I have the perfect like flex build yet... I'm not seeing any flex cards... apart from the support ones and the other cards I'm seeing don't help any part of my build

@@sousuzumi Both 'more likely to get X if its in your build' and 'get special stuff early on to help you find a build to build towards' exist in roguelikes. I've seen examples of both. I just unfortunately... don't remember exactly what games they were... Wait no, Brotato uses this. Early on, you're guaranteed at least one weapon drop, and weapons you already have get increased chance to find in the shop to allow more combining. Seeing more rare stuff the further you go in the game is a staple in roguelikes, especially deckbuilders. Astrea 6-sided oracles, Slay The spire, Across the Obelisk, etc all use it heavily. It's surprisingly easy to make, honestly, but if they don't have some kind of scalar system in place currently... then it may be hard to rewire the game to add one to preexisting architectue..

You actually can open the presents. It's just a little buggy, I think what you need to do is when you see on the right side of the screen it says something like "continue" or "more messages" click it until it says Chad is challenging you. You should be able to open your gifts after that. They're nice, the cookies are a constant small passive but they do make a difference
