Background on myself and my pinay wife we live up in pnw and will be moving over within this year up to mid year next year. Depends on sale of my our house. We have property in the Mindanao area south island of phillipines. I hear you been working same job last 34 years had some medical issues now i do not want to go back to the daily hum drum we always planned on retiring there anyway. I was in the PI in 2011 on a three week scuba diving trip. Loved the people. Longing to get back so at age 64 I hope to get there next year. Greetings from small town Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan, what a depressing place to live. I grew up there and my first house I owned was in Regina. One of the best days of my life was when I left there and moved to Calgary.

I grew up in Kingston Ontario. Moved to a small town in SK less than three years ago from Calgary. I like the tranquility. No sirens going off 24/7. Paid $80k cash for a modest three bedroom bungalow after cashing out on my 2400 sq ft house inherited after my own divorce.

Yeah, back in the day before social media, IA and false story lines... Books were a great source of knowledge. All of the Canadian immigrants I have seen vlog over here have been very down to earth human beings... And I applaud you all for being the exception to what I normally see. You gotta watch what you are eating, as that could be what has you coughing so much. The drastic change in environment for you can wreak havoc on your immune system and have you constantly battling light coughs, and maybe even low grade fevers. I was doing carnivore before we moved here. But when we got here, I found it hard to find good quality beef and ground beef with no cartilage pieces in it. So I ate the local foods and started getting colds easily and often. Then I started buying imported beef slabs and imported ground beef... Life is good now... lol Never heard of 5 star chicken... In our area of Cavite I have only seen KFC and Jolliebee and neither come close to church's chicken (even my wife sears by this fact).... lol

Hi, this is Aslie, he likes your beef very much in Canada. But he is OK with pork and chicken and vegetables and fruits. No sea foods for him. He is healthy exceot for his coughing. Never had fever since he was here. My request to him is try to quit smoking and he is cooperating. About the FiVe Star Chicken, I"ve seen 26 stores in Cavite. I guess your place is not in the list. Life is good. Keep smiling and regards to both of you.

I sincerely do hope you will kick the cigarette habit. For me, it was actually moving to the Philippines seven years ago that enabled me to quit smoking myself. Living out here in a remote province made it too difficult to buy cigarettes every day. The subsequent health benefits followed. No more hypertension and even weight loss. But that's for the absence of junk food. Moving here will add quality years to your life. Good luck my friend.

@@SouthPaths certainly is, lots of meat on the chicken cuts, have you tried any street food such as in the evening market's, I tried the bbq chicken intestines and I was very surprised, tasty. It was my first time trying the Durian fruit too, again a weird experience with the smell and texture, but I liked the taste, there's a short video on my channel of the preparation. I have subbed as I like your approach, nice couple too.

Well, San Pablo is 15 min away, so it's pretty close. There is a decent hospital there, but you need Manila or Cebu for the tip top care centers...my fingers are crossed.

Hi Nelson, new subscriber here from New York State 5 Minute drive to Canada from my town… been to the Philippines 2 times this year… the second time, I was almost stuck there due to the airline accidentally cancelling my ticket back to the states… now I am seriously considering moving there for good. My girl lives Near Gensen near General santos in the mountains… I am more than welcome there and it would probably be an easy transition for me… I’m a healthy 40 year old and can’t see any good reason to stay here… probably will be liquidating everything and be back in October to stay… after being there for a while now, is there anything you would recommend that you wish you did different to permanently relocate there?

Hundreds of beach communities in the Philippines to choose from. Dumaguete City is populated by a lot of expats if that's what you want but it comes with higher rents I've heard. Do some research I guess..im newish here too.

Feel your pain, I met my wife soon to be ex wife on a return flight from Colombia right before Covid hit February 2020. I was stupid and married her in November 2020 so I could apply for Visas for her and her two sons. By the time we got our Embassy visit we had been married two years and two months so they were approved and given the permanent resident visas instead of temporary 2 years visas. Immediately after she arrived she started talking about I had changed. In May she returned to Colombia to have some dental work done. When she returned in July her oldest son who is an adult returned with her “to visit”. The second day she was home she told me she wanted to sponsor her son for a visa and I told I would not help her he was an adult. Two months later she asked for a divorce and it turns out I allowed myself to become a victim of visa fraud. When the divorce is final I plan to travel and want to explore Asia. Enjoyed your video can’t wait until I can come to the Philippines
