He's a proper manager. Good luck from a Leicester fan.

Firstly i think we already had a manager in John Eustace that could set up a team and get them playing to their strengths and never had a chance to see what he could do with better players. As for saying it can get toxic with the fans at Blues - i agree but i have only seen it in the last few years and that is because we have had enough. We get a decent manager (Rowett, Monk and Eustace) and then sack them and bring in useless managers! Take me for instance, i went to Plymouth with my son on the 23rd December - £150. Leeds on NYD - over £100. I spend fortunes home and away and it's not good enough as we aren't even competing. Saying all this though i would take Mowbray in a heartbeat as we need the stability that Eustace provided.

We need to move on from JE. He was spent.

Mowbray is the sort of manager the owners should have made in the first place if they were determined to get rid of John Eustace, not Wayne Rooney, who nobody wanted but them.

Let’s not forget blues were in the top 6 when Rooney arrived. With the same players available to him we went down into the bottom five. It was a disaster on the pitch.

Although I agree Rooney wasn't a good appointment, we have to remember we were absolutely awful until we won 2 games on the trot. It was at a point in the season when a win put you up there, or a loss or two would put you near the drop zone.

Enjoyed that. Great insights, thanks Chris and Alan. I am excited for Mowbray. Whilst he definitely isn’t a Cooper, or Hasenhüttl, or a Potter, we are just not in that position yet. I think the fans will get behind him and gel with him almost immediately. We always needed to build a platform to develop from - which is why Rooney was a bonkers appointment. A couple of years of Mowbray, a manager who really cares and will invest in the club, sounds like what we really need. Whether or not we already had that in Eustace is another question, but don’t want to detract from Mowbray’s likely appointment.

Agreed 2 seasons under Mowbray and we should be in a tidy position. Still in Championship, but looking up and not down.

I think Mowbray is the best we can get at this hour. Proven and stable he'll redefine our club. Cracking appointment if true. KRO 💙

Tony Mowbray is a very experienced manager and will not make the mistakes of a young untried manager. As long as he still has the enthusiasm and motivation, which I believe he has, then I think it’s a perfect appointment. ,

I’m a season ticket older at Birmingham and I go to a good 40% of a way games. Rooney was only really ever interested in standing at the touchline, eating a packet of monster munch and drinking his Lucozade he just never looked interested. Look at all of his press conferences before and after games he has no interest he was there to take a pay packet. That’s all he was interested in.

It's too late for this now. Rooney's completely destroyed the club. When a manager takes a team from the promotion zone to the relegation zone, it completely shatters morale. You'll need a fresh crew of players and 2-3 years in League One to straighten out this mess. What a disaster. And he still wants to manage, too. Can you believe that? He's looking for another club to destroy!
@Andyferguson-ml4uo8 ай бұрын
He didn't destroy Derby and if Birmingham slide further down...u can tell the players aren't good enough.
