I think Nicky's whole story basically is also a reference to the kid's story from Hello Neighbor 1. From him being curious to go into the basement in Act 1, getting captured by the neighbor and having to escape like in Act 2, and then the Shadow Creature stalking him and being traumatized by the neighbor like Act 3. The only thing they've changed is adding his insanity. This seems like the only difference to the game's protagonist. Also, at first I thought the story was about the kids from Secret Neighbor, so I wondered why Nicky was there with them, but I think they might actually be the same person theoretically for that reason. After all, wasn't the kid's name from the 1st game called Nicky? Just a thought. Also the Crows being from the amusement park is also a reference to the "Hello Guest" game, and the Crow Man being the main antagonist in the majority of Season 2 is similar to the early alpha story concept of Hello Neighbor 2, with the idea being that while the Neighbor is gone, the Crow Man becomes the whole "Villain" of Raven Brooks. Although I wasn't expecting them to be a cult. THAT would have really made a spooky idea for Hello Neighbor 2, what with the clothes, the voice, his methods of tormenting the kids, the chase scenes. Hello Neighbor 2 would have definitely been as spooky as the early alphas of the first game if that exact version of him was in the game. Imagine being stalked by that thing in the game in a long dark hallway. Too bad they never even used him for the final version of the 2nd game.

This is a pretty good show, but my biggest interest is that Man of Action Entertainment helped make it. They made the biggest shows I grew up with (Ben 10, Generator Rex, Zak Storm: Super Pirate, Power Players), so it's nice to see they still got it.
