The shot at 6:33 and 6:53 are gorgeous. This vlog was so good! I'm also wrapping up the biggest shoot for our agency tomorrow (day 3/3) and have been taking loads of BTS on the M8. So cool you got to go to Prague for this.

How lovely to see your day/work. And i think its wonderful you show the downside of it. I often sleep bad if i have a big shoot or deadline coming up. Nothing to do with jetlag, just geared up. So i can really feel ‘powering through it’. Cool theres no sugarcoating it. Loved the photos. How nice to go somewhere for work but… also spend time with your passions and take chill time. I think thats super healthy.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment. I am the same way: always keyed up before a shoot and of course at night when my brain relaxes is exactly when all the productive and necessary thoughts hit so sleep just doesn't happen. Add jetlag and woof :P Thanks so much for watching.

Beautiful shots from Prague. It looks a lot like when I was there in 1993 - just newer 🙂 I think I have a similar shot of the bridge tower shot on my at the time new Premier M-101 AF-Mini on a roll of Agfa film - just "lo-fi" with a lot less details compared to your DP1s shot. That Foveon sensor really is something.

Still waiting on delivery but here are a few questions: 1. Are white balance an issue in sunlight or just in doors or just inconsistent in same light? 2. Does the custom white balance help? e.g. grey card. 3. The red clipping ... avoidable? @ your discretion, thanks in advance.

You inspired me to sell my x pro3 & I know own a k10d a DP1 a Fuji Z10 a Sony T90 & a Canon S95 which only lasted 2 weeks but wow! I’m so much happier with my pictures! Loving the k10d right now & I save the DP1 for special pictures as it’s always in my bag but wow! That foveon sensor is special as you know. And I’ve still enough cash in the bank to buy an SDQ 👍 Great content & thanks for taking the time to make videos 😊

Aaah that modern travellers problem: jetlag! Hate it! Worst for me while travelling from west to east. Noticed one or two graveyard images, but that wasn't in the old jewish graveyard if I'm correct?

Good eye, this is not the Old Jewish Cemetery but rather the Olšany Cemetery farther out of town which houses the New Jewish Cemetery. It's an extraordinary place, the largest cemetery in Prague and one of the largest in Czechia. From Wiki: "The Olšany Cemeteries were created in 1680 to accommodate plague victims who died en masse in Prague and needed to be buried quickly. In 1787, when the plague again struck the city, Emperor Joseph II banned the burial of bodies within Prague city limits and Olšany Cemeteries were declared the central graveyard for hygiene purposes."

You are right! I updated the supers but they somehow didn't render at the front end of the video; only at the end! Ugh. And that is awesome that you got the DC4800

@@OneMonthTwoCameras now where did you hear that? I would be surprised since the DC4800 came out in 2000 which is 6 years before the M8. I thought the closest to the sensors used by Leica where the Olympus Evolts and the Medium Format digital backs used in the Kodak Pro Back and Phase One, Sinar, etc. In fact I have looked for info on the CCD sensors used by Kodak in their Easyshare compact lines and never managed to find any info. At one time i even doubted they were Kodak-made. The P850 and P880 were probably Kodak-made but I would really like to know more about it.

I've been doing some research and Kodak never made the tiny sensors for their compact cameras, they were either made by Panasonic or Sharp or Sony, perhaps Samsung. That includes the P850 and P880. The DC4800 is a bit of an oddball because it's 3:2 whereas most of the compact CCDs were 4:3, but that's not surprising since it's such an early camera. Either way i'm curious as to where you heard that rumour.
