I've seen Korea changed so much over the decades since I was a child. As early as the 70s. There was a stretch when Korean culture was something you just shared with family, and I think a lot of Korean folks probably felt that it was always going to stay that way. Mainly because who would pay attention outside of being Korean? So it's interesting to see the transition of the world perspective the last decade. Just seeing people try and enjoy the food is a joy to watch.

I enjoy Seoul very much and your guide is helpful. I did find very local restaurants that were very reasonable. There are places to eat for almost any budget. I was in Korea long enough that I started to crave Mexican food and I was able to find a place that hit the spot. The variety of food in Seoul is amazing. I was amazed that I was able to find European food, Indian food, and everything was prepared with care .

I agree the cost of the food was very reasonable! My meal at the grilled fish street was $8 USD! Italian food is actually HUGE in Korean. Everywhere I looked that was a Western style restaurant had pasta on the menu. 🍝

I prefer staying near Koreans with a rented apartment....where Koreans are my neighbors. I've lived in Bundang for 4 months, far from tourists, and a wonderful, calm place with lovely families and great food at good prices....If I wanted all the crowds, high prices, tourist areas, and shopping....I took the bus....or train.

Your videos introducing Korea through food are also believed to be very amazing and beautiful as a Korean. You are very surprised that you are not only meeting and introducing Korea as others have done, but also delivering Korean emotions in a realistic way through traditional food where foreigners can feel and meet Korean culture more deeply. I sincerely hope that your deep and thoughtful content will resonate with people who want to know Korea.

It was nice to see a high-quality video introducing Korea. But one thing that's wrong is that the video that comes out in the background at 13:57 is not Seoul It's Pyongyang, North Korea. Maybe there was some confusion in the editing process. It was so comfortable while watching it. The content was great. I think I will watch this channel first when I want to travel to other countries. Thank you for the good video.
@SophiesTravelSecrets

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. In regards to your comments about the clip in 13.57, this was done on purpose as I was hinting to why South Korea doesn't use Google Maps (one reason being to prevent their neighbours up North [i.e. North Korea] from obtaining map data).I am glad to hear you enjoyed the video and hope to share more destinations with you!

Hi Tae-won, the clip in 13.57 was actually done on purpose as I mentioned / hinted to why South Korea doesn't use Google Maps (one reason being to prevent their neighbours up North [i.e. North Korea] from obtaining map data). I hope you enjoyed the video!

The best point that no one mention is 'Price of Korean restaurant food' Compared to Europe or US, it's so cheap

It is considered polite(not mean?)and friendly to pour soju for each other. Don't leave the glasses empty!! But, between really close friends (for speed? or convenience) you could declare ~~"I will pour it myself~~"

In Korean🇰🇷 its called Gyeoja 겨자 sauce = in english mustard sauce i Korean🇰🇷 Gochuneangi 고추냉이 sauce made from Korean indigenous ancient plant root !!! kind of similar to horse radish but very different plant indigenous to Korea !!!!! wasabi is a japanese term not Korean !!!! 99% of what is known as so called wasabi is made of horse radish !!!! In korea🇰🇷🎎 there is two sauce that are some what similar to horse radish sauce and its called Gyeoja 겨자 and the other is Gochuneangi 고추냉이 !! from a true American 🎎🇺🇸

I'm so glad I came across your video! I'm going to Seoul in October, and I can't wait. I just have one question: what are the masks situation? Do you have to wear them or not? Thanks for sharing!!! 😍😍😍😍
@SophiesTravelSecrets

You're going to have a great time!! When I was there, masks only needed to be worn indoors but many Koreans chose to continue wearing outside. Best to check the mask requirements closer to the date.

Such a great video! It would be lovely to have subtitles, especially for those scenes where you're in a really noise place. It's hard to understand your explanations in those scenes!
