I just love how this production highlighted Filipino culture by having Xavier make his confession through a song. In traditional courtship, that's how guys express their good intentions to someone they want to marry. I know this is no longer practiced in modern times but it's a breath of fresh air to go back to our roots. To Black Sheep's researchers and writers, you have my gratitude and respect.

Haha! I think it's already natural for us Filipinos to use English 60% of the time in our daily lives. I also find myself posting/commenting in social media in English even if the topic is in Filipino. Well, I guess it's because the medium of instruction in our schools is mostly in English and it's the most common form of communication both in government and private/commercial matters. Im a straight girl who is not into BL series. I just saw a friend post about this series and now I am hooked. Watching this made me realize how realistic this could be. As a straight girl I cant put myself in the shoes of someone in the LGBTQ community. But this series enlightened me that for those people exploring their sexuality, they may not even consider themselves as gay or lesbian, they may be also confused and hesitant and this series perfectly depicted for me, the image of two young people just liking each other, not thinking whether the other person is male or female. It just portrays raw emotions of getting butterflies in the stomach, giddiness, being caught off guard and smiling just by seeing a person that you like and spending time with them even just virtually. This is really something fresh and light for someone like me and I am enjoying it so far. PS. I am supporting this series by not skipping the ads

So i was wondering about the age of the oldest fan watching the show and where they are from, i'm 52 and live in Nottingham, UK and now i'm just keeping my fingers, toes and other parts of my body crossed it's not me. I originally got into this show to cheer myself up because i realised its 18 years this year since i last had a boyfriend, something that my previous bf did all those years ago caused me to completely lose my confidence and even though i've had people trying to help me in the past i have never been able to get my confidence back which means i've lived alone for 18 years. if i have to go out to buy food or something i just go straight to the shop and back walking with my head down so i don't get people asking me how i am. Please don't get me wrong i am not trying to make anyone feel bad or sorry for me i just wanted you to know what my life is like so you understand how important your show (and a couple of others like it) are to me making me smile and cheering me up each week so thank you.

You will see that a lot in South Asia (as it was colonised by brits) and in certain parts of South East Aisa like Phillipines , Singapore Also I am from India , we have 10 languages with 50 million+ speakers , so sometimes its compulsory for us to speak English as every one knows English but non-every one knows any other specific langauge . We dont have a national language and only 40% population has Hindi as their first language which is about 580 million people

It makes sense that Xavier would be the first one to confess his feelings. Mico is inexperienced and naturally cautious with a negative outlook so he would naturally hold it in longer. Xavier on the other hand is experienced and has a go for what I want personality so he would be the one to take the leap of faith. This show is structured perfectly. They are in quarantine and 100% of the communication happens virtually and the writers and actors somehow found a way to perfectly depict each personality and emotion to perfection. I'm obsessed. I am in awe. I have so much respect for them it's not funny. They could have taken this in a completely different direction and they didn't and I appreciate it. We are all already so depressed because of everything that's happening in the world and Hello Stranger serves as a perfect little escape from reality while still occurring in real-time. I'm obsessed.

my take on this episode - no matter how often you see each other online, nothing beats meeting the first time in person..that feeling of a hundred horses racing inside you heart - sometimes when we are into someone, we may neglect our friends..so during this time, let's be more sensitive towards our friends and what they are also going through - actions speak louder than words..Xavier may have briefly ignored Mico because he felt disappointed or hurt (about Mico leaving urgently) but when he sent that drink to Mico, it's already a white flag and that he likes him already - Tina, the BEST TEACHER! she mentioned 2 tops but both are versatile..i stan a teacher queen! LOL.. - to everyone, please always remember this - CONFESSIONS are never easy, especially when it comes to one's feelings and sexual preference..it may be easy for some, but we have to remember that each of us are in a different situation..allow them time to decide for themselves if they want to confess or not - the best thing we can do if we have friends going through this is to support and accept them when they confess - FRIENDZONE, we must never take it against a friend if they can't give us the same feeling we have for them..you must be ready to accept that you have entered a one-way street once you confess your feelings to a friend - Xavier's song and confession to Mico, who would've thought that a straight guy would eventually fall for another guy and confess first? this proves that LOVE can change anything and it has no boundaries..LOVE should never be determined according to one's gender.. - do what makes you happy so long as you are not stepping on anybody's toes..your feelings, your decision! the ONLY NEGATIVE comment i have for this episode is when they took off their masks when they met..guys, you have to remember that this was the first time they met and it was in a public place..it sends a wrong impression when people see them taking off their masks when talking in public especially when there's a pandemic.. might i just add that during the 3-way video call of Mico, Xavier and Teacher Tina - Mico's look was really fresh..it must be the lighting and the make up..i like to see more of that fresh look looking forward to episode 6..i have a whole week to enjoy the feelings that Xavier and Mico gave me during the last scene, ughhh butterflies on my belly 🥰😊 Post Edit comment: may i just say that Seph's side visuals are OMG (that part where he was playing on his phone while on video call with Kookai)!! he looks really stunning, im drooling..can someone give him his own BL plzzz?

Why is no one talking about Xavier's long explanation before he started singing? When you're IN LOVE, you will lose your words, you will start giggling, you will get NERVOUS around him, you will smile like an idiot OKAY. Xavier can't be lying because we see him disappointed in a scene without Mico (shows his genuine disappointment). He isn't doing this for the grades. Xavier can't be preparing this for his girlfriend because he was trying to make MICO smile, and he worked on the song all morning just for MICO. He didn't need to say anything, but actions speak louder than words. Effort. Xavier can't just look at Mico as 'just a friend' as he sang a song about being HAPPY and that nothing else matters (it wont matter what other people say). Xavier also said "ALL YOU WANNA DO IS FALL" which obviously means the song makes him want to fall IN LOVE. And who else can it be other than MICO?? After the song, Xavier says he is "inspired" and the song is for someone very special to him. And when you like someone, you start picking up habits or traits they have, so maybe Xavier picked up this habit of saying "promise"? Idk) The only thing that would possibly break the two apart would be the ex-girlfriend. Mico's friends are so supportive of their relationship, just by how they reacted. There's a comment that said Junjun likes Mico, but he left the call after Seph said "it's difficult for someone to admit their feelings". Maybe Junjun already knows Seph likes Kookai (because Junjun seems to be the best example of a 5th Wheel) and Junjun gave the two their space. Although I'm not saying it's impossible, how will Black Sheep fit so many plot twists and revelations in 3 episodes without showing Mico's thought process after Xavier's confession, Mico's apology and confession to his 3 friends, addressing the *Depressing* Prologue from Episode 1, bringing back Crystal (like how they brought back Miss Moran), and ending the series with a nice comforting (and hopefully fulfilling) conclusion for Mico and Xavier's relationship. SCENE DIALOGUE (19:06 - 20:25): *Xavier proceeds to tidy the mess in the room* Xavier: Uhh, teka... okay so, I've been working on this all morning and... *giggles* I think mapapangiti ka dito, kahit for a little while lang *takes a deep breath* *Xavier starts to look nervous* Xavier: Uhhh *giggles* okay, ewan iba kasi talaga yung tama ng song nito sa akin... It, um, it makes me feel like, I guess, nothing else matters... When you're happy, with somebody *giggles* and um... paano ba 'to *shy laugh* All you wanna do is *pause* fall, and be with that person... in that moment *shy laugh*

I just want to leave my opinion in writing and hopefully there are people in the comments who are interested to discuss the series with me!! Also I have seen comments that are discussing the events in a negative light (which I am still open to, don't get me wrong). I'm just a sentimental romantic looking forward to a happy ending :") As much as realism is necessary to the storyline, I'm still rooting for #XavMi to end up together somehow :)

Junjun has a girlfriend if i am not mistaken. I think it was episode two or three where he was talking to a “babe” and said i love you, so no problem with him interfering in their love. I think it’s already well established that Xavier fell hard for Mico. What will happen next to them will all depend on Mico. I think we have to highlight one of their discussions before, why Mico is still single. His priorities and what happened with his parents might be the ghost that will haunt his present. Remember he doesn’t like falling for fear of exacting the same fate as his mom. And the prologue shows us that. Xavier on the other hand is a hopeless romantic ready to get hurt in the name of love, as he said before, that’s the beauty of love, getting hurt is part of it. I think the next plot would be, can Mico commit to this? We’re not really sure too if Mico has already settled the personal conflict of coming out. Whereas Xavier seems like to not care of the gender, being a hopeless romantic and focusing on his emotions instead. I hope there’s a new episode already. If anything, this director, Peterson, has another series called Hanging Out (produced by Team Mag), that ends up well. I think everyone should check that out too. It has great background music. The character of Mico and the lead guy there both are not into commitments for fear of getting hurt and past issues with their parents’ marriage. I think you’ll enjoy that too. It’s pretty light and it’s a bit more mature than this. This series is a coming of age story, that other series is an exploration of adolescent love.

This episode highlighted casts' acting progress, editor's brilliance and mastery of craft, and the entire team's strategic plan of intriguing us this episode to be romantically sad - which grew my disappointment at first, but was proved wrong by the episode itself. In all honesty, Junjun's quite a looker! He's the very first I noticed aside from the 2 MCs. He's got an uncanny resemblance to the Thai actor Chanon Santinatornkul(nonkul),could pass themselves off as twins. Acting skill is always on point!
