Mel I teared up listening to your video. I was verbally abused by grandparents and others when I young. I’m 31 now and there words still hurt. I also am a firefighter who deals with ptsd and depression. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Mental health is no joke and I’m convinced that we get through life with good people around us. It was nice to learn about you and your life and life struggles and hunting experiences. I feel bad that you got bullied pretty much all of your life and about how bad your autism is. I was never diagnosed with autism but I do think I have it since i can get fixated on things very easily and just talk about one thing for a few days and then go with something else after that. I'm a diabetic and even though its more of a physical disability; it's also a mental one as well because I get frustrated with my sugar a lot and I try to be perfect about it and just correct it a lot more. I had gone into diabetic shock once when I was 15 and i couldn't remember much about that past week and I stayed home from school the next day so I could settle down and feel better. Keep up the amazing work as always!

You're so amazing for sharing your time and your life. This is heavy stuff you're talking about, and can hear you've been through a lot. I hope this platform has alleviated a lot of the pain of the everyday grind to stay alive, happy, and sane. I hope you can get a stronger internet connection soon so we can cheer you on live. I had my first seizure ever in basics for the Navy and started having them a lot after discharge (ESL). One thing that always helps me, as Goofy and random as it seems is something Gandalf said to Frodo that has almost become a mantra for my life, and hope it means something positive to you. Forget what the rest say, keep staying happy AMAZING you, Mels, and the true ones will always be here. But the quote... Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. Hey Mel, Thanks for sharing. Try to not let negative comments get to you. Your art and photography is awesome! I've been a pain patient for 20 years. I've had 10 spinal surgeries and am disabled. I suffer from anxiety as well. I bought way of the hunter yesterday and it seems like it may be a better fit for me than COTW, we'll see. I've only been gaming since Christmas and have collected 50 diamonds and probably 30 rares, but have always thought that herd management was backwards in COTW. WOTH seems to be a more realistic experience. I imagine that I'll play both depending on my mood. Again, thanks for sharing.

Such a great video Mel. I also struggle with being disabled. Im 26 with Myalgic Encephalitis and MCAS. That comes along with alot of depression and anxiety. but gaming has made my life more tolerable. I love your channel and i hope you continue to do this for a very long time!

This is an essay, so pls try to read Ik you said that’s a hard thing for you so I apologize in advance. This is the most emotional video I’ve seen in a while. You wanna know why? You’re basically talking about me too. Extreme anxiety, depression, severe sickness along the time, not as severe night terror, and sometimes, I feel autistic. That’s the only thing different. Between school,( I’m the nerd) interests (literally none of my friends hunt)+( satisfaction with nature and wildlife.) And many others. A lot of our experiences are similar. Not that i almost got attacked by a pig of have been with someone who killed someone, but still some are similar. Like how i lost my grandma and my great grandfather within a month, my great grandmother pass just in April, it’s been terrible the past few years. I’ve very much improved on like anxiety and stuff, but still have side effects sometimes. This was one of the most just painful vids I’ve ever seen. I feel severely bad for you and your family and I hope things clear up. Just wanted to share similarities and just get some stuff off me. 🖤🖤🖤

I also love to play this game and have excessive time to play it because of my physical disability that’s keeping me from work. One of the illnesses is PCOS and the other is endo. Hi Mel I had arrhythmia & hospitalized with it a few time, they tried to burn the nerve in the heart etc in a 4 hour procedure, it did not work so I looked more into. Eventually I seen something about lack of Magnesium can cause this & fidgety legs which I was suffering from also. I was cured & also my fidgety legs disappeared. I am talking over 12 years ago & I made a group on Yahoo to help others & many people fixed there problem like me. I remember one lady from the USA had been to doctor after doctor with test after test & cost a fortune. I told her about Magnesium & she tried it & about a week later she posted on my group I saved her life, it was amazing her turn around. So plz try Magnesium you have nothing to lose. Nearly every part of our body needs it, also doing a blood test can show your magnesium is fine but that does not test if there is enough in your cells etc. I also have a son with Autism.

Hugs my friend 🫂. Life is hard and it’s made even harder if you’re not surrounded by the right people. Remember, nothing is better or worse it’s just different. Some people don’t know this and thus “different” becomes a picking point for which (in their heads) they feel justified in their actions. I got picked on in school also. Depression and Anxiety but wasn’t diagnosed with it till I was 40. Knew something was wrong at 5 but thought everyone was like that. Hey I was just a kid. Those kinds of things weren’t prevalent in my small world. And if anyone had depression or anxiety it surely wasn’t spoken of for like you said, it makes a person appear weak. I was also diagnosed with dyslexia when I was in third grade. My point (without giving you and everyone else my whole life story) is I get it. I get it because I’ve been through some (not all) of these things. Just know that we appreciate you and you’re not alone.🤗. If you see me online, I’m always here to talk. 😉

I hunt in the UK but it's actually my job and I'm very fortunate because my family has always hunted for generations. In the UK its very hard to get into hunting if you're not born into it, doing it as a job, or have relatives that do it.

Hey there Mel. I have an older brother who is severely autistic so I know how you feel, and also I’m the same with you when it comes to school I hate it because I’m not the most popular kid there and also some people usually make compliments to me but only as jokes, but it had gotten to the point where I have to start taking depression pills because I would usually think I was a failure, and I had done a little bit of summer football workouts but wasn’t a huge fan of it since some people would say I was really weak so I had left, and I had done a workout class which I was mad at myself because I kept on comparing myself to others but I still stayed in there and done very good. I’m still in high school and I’m 100% excited to get out, but anyways happy birthday!!!

About The injured muntjac thing. The first time something like that happens it's pretty heart breaking but as someone who's shot alot of deer you're never gonna shoot deer without injuring one. If you haven't injured one, you haven't shot enough deer. But the guys rifle was definitely not safe, and it's very irresponsible of him to do that with a client and that was 100% not your fault

I am still haunted by that day. I still sit and think through every movement and everything I did. I feel like if that gun didn’t go off like that, I could’ve made a good shot. But it’s something I wish had never happened, and that I had known before that the gun wasn’t safe!

I have a question about going on hunt where you live, do you or can you go on multiple day hunts for like fallow or red deer because here in the US we go on hunts for elk. Also love your videos and keep up the great work

from one autistic "youtuber" to a proffesional one id like to give one bit of advice. autism isnt a disability its a tool that can be trained to be very useful. i was bullied frequently through elementary and middle school. i have never had many friends. Stay Strong mel. im only 20minutes into this video but im watching it all the way through. hope you know you arent the only one struggling with these things.

You should of been home schooled Mel. It would of prevented alot of what you went through. If you haven't read the Bible Mel, you should. New King James version is as close to the original writings as possible. The Old Testament is prophetic and historical while the New Testament is a record of every prophecy, in the Old Testament, coming true. Autism is not a problem, it is a gift from above. With Jesus Christ by your side, that would of been realized. He can turn your life around, heal you, and make a difference in everyone's life who meets you. Mel your life sounds like alot of other people's lives in this world. If you're not a Christian Mel, you should give it a try. You've tried every other treatment the world has thrown at you. You got nothing to loose and everything to gain. I will keep you in my prayers Mel that you find God’s purpose for your life. Thank you Mel for everything you've taught me in your hunting videos. I definitely think being home schooled would’ve been the best for me- but sadly every single school/teacher until my complete breakdown failed to notice that despite my high grades, I was struggling, and so no help or thought was given to such things. One teacher told my mother that I “knew how to push her buttons” and that I was actually lying about being bullied etc. I hope one day something will provide me with some peace- I’m open to anything honestly and very open minded so if something does help, I’ll go with it. I’m definitely still in the stage of trying to find that! Thank you so much for your message! 🖤
