Congratulations on your new MH, we have a new KON TIKI tag axel with the same middle door ours came without the magnet catch this was a 2024 up grade, Swift have now supplied one that i have now fitted, the magnet works perfectly.

Well done guys, lovely van, no wonder you were so excited. Just a couple of comments, the first is take out the duck board from your shower, it will certainly mark the shower tray and I know if someone who left theirs in and cracked the tray. Secondly, if you are going for a taller gas bottle, just make sure that the regulator is above the gas bottle valve.

Bob, you are going to love the digital dashboard, it can give you loads of information and it's full of safety features such as lane departure, and road sign recognition which I find useful. It's very lovely, hope you enjoy it and we will very much enjoy watching your videos in it. Something my boss has done with his, which he's found very useful is put some spot lights on the front, you the type mini cars used to have on them. He said sometimes on campsites the extra light has really helped out, driving down lanes ect. And they look pretty cool too, and not very expensive. Very useful i would imagine

Our Motorhome lives take a very similar historical path. Our previous Motorhome was bought new slightly before your old one. We bought our new one a fortnight ago ! We, too, had tick boxes for our new Motorhome, based on the experiences of our previous one. Large garage, auto transmission etc etc. We're absolutely delighted with ours, as you will be with yours. Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, Congratulations, it looks beautiful. Ready to make lots of lovely memories. Bob mine locks automatically too, mine is a Ford and there is an App you can download so as long as you have your phone with you , if you leave the keys in the motorhome and it locks you can unlock it through the App. Ask if there is one for yours. I hope this is helpful ( I heard about mine from another KZbin channel )

So pleased for you, hope you enjoy your new toy and much happy camping to come. If we lived in the UK then I think that would be the van for us. We also have an external gas point on our new motorhome but Weber warned us not to use it until their special flame retarder attachment was ready as a blow back could damage the Motorhome and invalidate the insurance. We are based in Australia so this may not apply to you. We now have one fitted and it is really great, as we do not cook inside the vehicle to avoid lingering food smells. Hope you like the 9 speed auto, we found it a big improvement over the previous Fiat and sadly we have to have AdBlue as well, we find we do about 300 km per liter of AB fluid. Enjoy Phil.

Congratulations Bob & Jenny, it looks great! Best wishes for making new memories and vlogs At first I thought they looked very similar. Your last was a Kontiki Sport. I was not sure what the difference was, so your vlog was great to compare them. Definitely an upgrade and improved styling in addition of modernisation. We actually pick up our new (2017) MH on Monday 1st April. I am going today to go and inspect the paperwork, modifications and van today before paying the balance. We have downsized from a 7.5m Coachbuilt to a 6m Panel van (professional) conversion so as my wife feels more comfortable driving it, if I am tired … or incapacitated! From our previous van, which went to salvage, we have the following equipment which is now surplus as we have an underslung lpg tank and factory fitted awning, smaller 2 bike carrier etc so will be looking to sell or pass on some of the surplus stuff. This includes: - 6kg and 13kg Calor Propane bottles, both full. They were exchanged to full prior to the last trip when road debris on the M6 came through the several layers of flooring! - A Fiamma 655 Awning, seldom used. Can be adapted to fit any MH or cv with the appropriate brackets. - A Fiamma 4 bike rack (Great condition, seldom used) - An Avtex TV/ DVD 12/24v with carting case - A great tv bracket, Chausson style) - 2 x Maypole breathable MH covers, for 7.5-8m MH.s one newer, only used a few times and one older, that happy to give away for free. - a host of other van stuff that we won’t needs as well be downsizing our stuff. These may include good chocks, 30m elec cable on a reel, food grade water hose and outside shower equipment. Would be happy to pass on these items for a fair offer, to help anyone new starting off their MH journey.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hopefully someone may be able to help you out with all that gear. The Kon-Tiki is on a heavier chassis and higher kit spec than the Kon-Tiki Sport we had previously.

I’ve not been using Strathclyde Park since I got kicked out due to a cycling event in Glasgow and over the last summer tried various “Park for Night” sites instead. If you are passing through Perth and looking to stay over, I have just discovered a lovely C&MC CL just outside Perth near Kinfaus . I was not aware of until a forest walk a few weeks ago. There is another utube/vlogger that did a video arriving , staying and walking around the area during winter months this year. They had a huge tag axle Autotrail.
