Almost unanimously the greatest song and dance performer in all movie history. Add to that his great choregoraphy, and his causing advancements in filming technology...

Such a powerful film. It really has everything too. Snappy comedy, excellent song/dance, dramatic expression, intense storyline, good dialogue, all while keeping events of the time accurate. Oh and let us not forget the wonderful duo that made this picture come alive. Just watching this snippet, I became deep into the plot again...then at an emotional climax, it ended...I was like, 'darn!' But another great example of DriveInMovieHistory's great editing skills!😁 You made me think, for a moment, that I was at a drive in, sitting in a '37 Coupe.😉

In watching this again, slowly, like I have to do to do the editing, there are several very emotional points in this movie, very well acted by the both of them.

I am sorry but I think Fred and Ginger should not have done this movie not enough dancing that is what they were liked for not to say that the dancing was not to standard it was but just too many short bits of dances Fred and Ginger were wasted and there talents were under played it was more like an advert to sell a Irene Castle book not a movie

Fair enough. For Fred, though, Vernon and Irene had been a BIG influence on his career when he was young, so he probably wanted to do this very badly. And Ginger wanted to transform her career into a serious dramatic actress, and this gave her some of that. Yes, it is not a "Fred and Ginger movie", and I do understand your reservations. I, too, would have preferred another "Roberta", "Top Hat" or "Swing Time" myself...
