The IKEA FRIHETEN is a sofa lounger that has a built in ottoman, storage under the lounge seat and can be used as a guest bed.
Most of the components of the IKEA FRIHETEN come assembled out of the box so the full assembly of the sofa is fairly straight forward. This video demonstrates the overall process.

@@stalliondan1 I don’t know that it’s for an office. This is more of a starter couch for a first apt not very comfortable at all, but fit the purpose for my sons needs.

+EeJane Low (can't reply directly to your comment) Super easy to disassemble. Everything is attached with basic screws. Like you said just do everything in reverse and you'll be good to go.

@NoAH'ArK for long-term sleeping of course it's not as comfortable as a mattress but it gets the job done. 4 Less Than excessive usage ,it holds up very well no discoloration of any sorts on materials as of yet. We did Scotchgard it for extra safety and protection still looks like brand new.

To all the people complaining, BRO you can just get a foam topper (full size) from Ross for like $40 and fit it under the chaise when you're not using it. Plus a cheap comforter to put ontop of the foam for like $25 at Target. And for stains / cleaning you can simply get a throw towel/cover which what you should be doing with any couch in the first place. This ain't rocket science!

I bought this a year ago. I found that I need to put a foam mattress topper on it for sleeping because it’s hard. The storage underneath is amazing, you can get so much under it.

Hey there it's Feb 27, 2022. I just got mine and your video was the most simple and easy guide go building this. I must say thank you so much for this video. It made it so much easier for me and it took me about an hr (I def took my time lol) . But in the end I was rewarded with a wonderful sofa. Only thing I would tell people is the screws for the wheels where very hard for me and took most of my time in the end. Thank you again !!!

If you have enough hands (2 ppl minimum) to help carry it and the IKEA isn't too far away I'd just pick it up. That's what I did. I think it came in 3 boxes but they were all shrink wrapped together in one huge package, so don't be surprised as you'll most likely need to take apart the shrink wrap to carry it and fit it in the van. But it is a little heavy (~90lbs a box) so having it delivered isn't a bad idea either.

I can get a sofe (1 year old) like this for free from some marketplace from an expat, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get it moved? I do not have a car big enough to fit this in, so i was thinking of renting a guy for 30 bucks to movei t. However, i'm not sure if it can be moved in 1 piece of it consistant of a few parts can be be easily decontructed? Any recommendations?

Best sofa for your buck! Just received mine a few days ago , the assembly took me around 30 min with the right tools, yours was a bit grey blue color at the beggining ? Mine is grey when i try to capture in photo and in real life with natural light is grey blue ... i was surprized at the beggining because i ordered dark grey , good quality and easy assembly !

I bought this sofa...and it was great for storing the kids toys..and also to lounge and play on...we bought this as a secondary couch in our front living room/kids play room and it worked well for that...but as a primary couch its not very comfortable...but for making blanket forts and kids sleepovers it worked well

Did you have to disassemble it when you moved out of that apartment? It seems like an odd shape to move through corridors and stairs, and the L shape gets formed early in the set up process.
