Even for traditional construction, water closet discharge pipes are usually wall-discharge type instead of floor-discharge. This is due to Buildings Department's Practice Note APP-93 issued in 1997. So the reason is not due to MiC. As regards the cost of construction, MiC projects may be more costly than traditional ones as the amount of materials used is increased due to thickened walls and slabs. As regards height of MiC buildings, high-rise ones would demand the central staircase/lift cores to be built in-situ. So it is not a pure-MiC project, but a mix-methodology project using both MiC and traditional construction method of in-situ concrete.
