One thing that is important to know: Most of the participants in this show are Hellborn. It gets briefly mentioned in HH, when Lute, in the meeting with Adam and Charlie brings up that "You're just here because Daddy gave you _and your hellborn kind_ a pardon from an exorcist blade." These are the hellborn kind. Imps like M&M and Blitz, Hellhounds like Loona, Succubi and Incubi like Verosika and her Team. Non of them did anything to go to hell, they were just born there. Unlike Sinners, Hellborn can traverse all Seven rings of Hell (named after the seven deadly sins and each having a ruler that embodies that sin, Pride, Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth and Envy. Lucifer is the Ruler of the Pride ring, which is the only ring Sinners can inhabit.

i don't know which one i prefer more, but helluva boss humour is just my jam. idk, a lot of people hate this show because of its humour centered around swearing, violence and s*x, but i'm totally vibing with it. and the drama later on is very good-written in my opinion. while hazbin hotel is more about over-arching plot, helluva boss is more about characters (esp blitz and stolas) and their complexity... well, you'll see what i mean in the next 4 eps

You got it wrong, we have issue with the abusing and childish use & execution of all those three things, we know these shows are meant to be for adults but for the way the humor and moments are being done, it again comes off as childish and the severe lack of variety of adult stuff and jokes is what kills interest watching then vulgarity being used and to make the villains for an adult show and to be evil, there's more to showing villains are evil and for adult show than making them have potty mouths.

Well most of this show is poorly written. Only getting better at the most most most recent episodes. It really shows in some parts where it feels like a complete 180 was made in the writing twice. I enjoy this show, but it is pretty carried by animation. It's nice the ideas they want to do but the execution comes off as poor in many aspects. The humor could use a bit of work but I've chuckled at a few jokes I won't lie. This show has a lot of potential but it's not using it fully and it does disappoint me a bit. However I still enjoy watching it somewhat, it's just for me the hype has died down almost completely. This is like the Demon Slayer of Indie Animation. It's not a complete bad thing, but it does need improvement in quite a few categories

And I like the pilot, but it’s a good call for them to make it not canon. - Moxxie not minding killing a kid. - Moxxie and Millie’s relationship being a bit less strained, and Moxxie not being as crazed and argumentative/confrontational as he seems in the pilot lol - Personalities are mostly the same aside from Moxxie, Millie, and Loona all slightly. Like Loona can be an asshole in the series a lot, but she’s not to the point of kicking babies in the episodes. And Millie is less of a suck up to Blitzø in the episodes. And Stolas a lot. Since he was originally intended to be a villain at the time. - Voice actor change for Millie and Stolas. - Slight design change for Stella; Stolas’ wife. - Them casually being seen on Earth, which they aren’t supposed to do😅So they didn’t actually go to a church, and hospital and chill in the waiting room, talk to a doctor, and then literally show up on live news. - Millie and Moxxie knowing how to open the portal to Earth with the book (Loona is in charge of that, in addition to being the receptionist). But yeah, just a few things changed, so it’s not technically canon anymore, but is still a rlly fun watch as to how their office and business operates, some insight on their dynamics and relationships (like Blitzø having slept with Stolas for the book, Blitzø being the boss, Blitzø adopting Loona, and Millie and Moxxie being married) and with some funny jokes and a catchy jingle.

Just to help you out a bit welchy, in the pilot episode of Helluva boss we basically get an interesting and hilarious introduction of all the main characters. For example Blitz is an imp who starts his own business of having sinners who have any grudges against anyone still alive him and his crew can take them out, Millie and Moxxie are two married imps who work for Blitz (we learn more about them later in the season), and luna is a hellhound that Blitz adopted (again we learn more about her later), now Stolas is a powerful demon prince called an Ars Goetia who owns the book that Blitz uses to conduct his business. Which we find out how Blitz got said book, he seduced Stolas, banged him, waited till he's asleep tried sneaking out, fell off the balcony into a cake in front of his (Stolas) wife, her brother and his wife. And then he says "Sorry I f#€ked your husband" and takes off. That's why shes mad at him because he had an affair with an imp, and their daughter's caught in the middle of it.

Regarding what you said about it vs Hazbin, part of the reason people tend to vibe more with Helluva Boss is because it isn't nearly as rushed- it has room to breathe, and room for fluff/filler, while the executives over Hazbin needed to launch the plot at mach speed for some reason, resulting in less time with the characters.

It had nothing to do with A24 or Amazon, 20+ minutes for 8 Episodes is more than enough time to tell a story but they added things that didn't help anything like Mimzy & her exposition on Al, excessive time with Heavan, Carmilla & her song, War with Heavan which could've been saved for later Season, Lucifer joining the Hotel so quick, there's so much that did not need to be there and easily replaced, the meeting should've been the only thing regarding Heavan and there's no purpose of the V's with Al & Lucifer at the Hotel and Rosie an ally, shows like Edgerunners, Arcane, DHMIS, etc. do better with little and also the Music Video with Sasha, one or Maine's team members that is just 4:44 and tells a full story of her with no dialogue, if these can cram in stuff but do it right and the best way then Viv and her team have no excuse, there's excess and why they needed to do what I said.

In the HB pilot, Loona is watching Charlie's News Broadcast on her laptop, and in the HH pilot, there's an imp at the news station that looks like Blitzø with weird horns. His Instagram confirms it was him wearing a Halloween costume with make up on his horns. Which would put the Extermination around Halloween. Male and female imps are also born with different specific color horns, any imps you see otherwise are trans representations.

I gotta admit I was into helluva boss more than hazbin in the begin when I saw both the pilots, I think you should watch the pilot episode because it gives you more of the premise. Also I love moxy's voice actor because I loved him as invader zim. Anyway I got even more invested in this show by episode 6 because of the relationship between blitz and stolas. I'm looking forward to your reactions to the next episodes.

I would love to see future reactions to this, the show is a blast! Blitzø is also my favorite. Btw!! All the demons, aside from their clients (like Mrs. Mayberry; the teacher), are hellborn. Hazbin focuses on sinners (aside from Charlie and Lucifer) and Helluva focuses on hellborn. It is set in the same universe, in fact, in the same Ring.. the Pride Ring, just a different city in the ring. Imp City is helluva, Pentagram City is hazbin. But they also travel to different rings in helluva, like they were in the Greed Ring at Loo Loo Land. Imps and hellhounds are at the bottom of the hierarchy. Goetias (Stolas and the other royals) are high up, higher and more powerful than overlords (Alastor, Rosie, Vox, Velvette, Valentino, Carmilla, etc) we see in Hazbin. What’s so cool about helluva is we get to explore other rings. There is Pride, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, and Lust. There’s also rulers of each ring who we meet (we met Lucifer who rules Pride in Hazbin, but also rules all of Hell technically). The sinners are confined to the Pride ring only, the hellborns can go where they want. And as said in Hazbin, the exterminations only affect sinners. And also hellborns can be killed. By any gun, knife, hellfire, etc, and not come back to life, unlike sinners.

It's very clear that Vivzi just didn't get enough creative freedom in hazbin hotel, plus here she has more time to flesh out the characters so as much as I love Alastor and songs from Hazbin Heluva boss is for now a better show

17:34 prince stolas of the ars goetia is of the hellborn nobility. I believe he wanted blitz there so that he wouldn't be distracted from possible assassins on his father/daughter date. However, the thirst got to him.
