Blitz is in such a state of self loathing, when Stolas actually is being genuine about how much he loves him. Blitz just see's it as a joke. That is a whole new level of sad.

Im going to come here on the defending stance as well as a more empathetic stance to say that both Blitz and Stolas were valid and wrong at the same time during that entire conversation turned argument. Let's start with Blitz's perspective. Think about it, this is the first time in months that you two finally got together to do your monthly banging sessions for his grimoire. Stolas never really gave him a heads up for this time being different, so to Blitz, it probably really did feel like an ambush. Especially with the severe status quo change of no longer needing to see Stolas and no longer needing the book. Given Blitz's childhood trauma too and already established fears of abandonment. He probably saw this as a massive rejection from Stolas' end. (Of course, this doesn't really justify him yelling at Stolas continuously, but his lines and the things he said made entire sense.) Stolas really did play with his feelings in a way Blitz couldn't understand. He didn't give Blitz the chance to properly react to the situation and instead took his denial at the situation with face value. This is more or so an issue with the two of them in the ways in which they don't properly communicate with each other, but still, it's extremely present within Stolas here. From Stolas' perspective, this makes entire sense, too. As for him, he tried making things beyond clear to Blitz that he wanted more with Blitz never picking up on it due to his own self hatred. The ways in which he wanted to talk to Blitz after Ozzies, the way he offered Blitz to come see him, the way that he ordered the Asmodeon Crystal to Blitz in the first place? It was all to signal to Blitz that Stolas cared much more about him than just the full moon meetings and that final chance for Blitz to redeem himself in the room only for him to go into denial? (Although he took it at face value, it would still naturally hurt for anyone.) That crushed him. Naturally, he's going to distance himself away from Blitz after that, and yet Blitz clings on, yelling at him the whole time and not picking up on Stolas' hurt. Both parties here were completely understandable, but also oh so wrong in delivering each other's messages here as they got so close to effectively communicating with each other. It's really captivating, imo and easily the best Helluva Boss moment, in my opinion! So yeah, those were just my thoughts on the scene! :)) Edit: To add onto this, too, from Blitz's perspective. A lot of it was also exactly how their relationship started in the first place and the ways in which Stolas fed into Blitz's insecurities relating to his status as an imp and someone who gets his feelings played with. Think back to Season 1 Episode 2 when Stolas said: "You are so cute when you are serious!"

@karlthorkildson4650 Yeah, but the comment made by Agent 2 felt too deliberate from a writing standpoint. It's known that their is a Lovecraftian set of royals in Hell, but that comment was hinting at something not bound to Hell. Azathoth was referenced in season 2, episode 2. Can you see any of the Eldritch horrors or outer gods being subordinate to Hell or even Heaven?

I like the structure of the episode, because this episode has a theme. Theme of sex and love. The cherubs returned in this particular episode to remind us of what is considered sexual deviation in Christianity. They are surprised and disgusted by everything sexual in hell the whole time in this episode. This shows the point of view of Christianity, which believes that it has the most correct answer to how your love life should be structured. Of course, your love life will be bad if it contains something sexually deviant or generally something outside the rules(let’s say you must have a marriage, etc.). That's why all the characters do something sexual in this episode. Loona wiggles her butt. Millie and Moxie kiss with tongues after escaping death. Agents do roleplay with a furry costume. Only Stolas among all the characters is as serious as possible all the time for the first time ever(I consider his "Blitzy" a sexual advance, so episode 7 of season 1 doesn't count). This is again the return of the Boss theme: "if we are demons, then can we be better than angels?". Or if put it generally: “if we are not christians, then can we be better than christians?”. Stolas handled the situation in a moderate way. But it's better than nothing
