I'm glad to see more Ben Percy continuing to do Wolverine (or, now, Wolverine Jr.) as a wildly over-the-top 1980s action/horror movie. And I laughed out loud at the page that shows Akihiro accidentally setting fire to everywhere he sleeps. And I liked getting to see Doc Strange now in his immediately post-Sorcerer-Supreme state. He doesn't seem to be dealing so well.

Ben Percy does seem to enjoy leaning into horror in his Wolverine stories. And I'm here for it! I like your reference to "wildly over-the-top 1980s action/horror movies." That last Hellverine mini was pretty OTT too.

The variant cover is pretty cool, it looks like the old biker leather jacket designs Not my cup of tea but the art looks pretty decent for marvel at least haha

@@FearMonarch It's a cool variant. The art is mostly good. As you say, pretty good for Modern Marvel. I enjoyed the horror themes and Akihiro is an interesting character.

I've enjoyed writer Ben Percy's Wolverine stories in the past because he likes to lean into the horror. This story is a blast! 1980s OTT horror as another commentor called it.

@WakizashisTeahouse I'm not an art expert by any means, but I don't like this style for Wolverine. It reminds me of Preacher maybe? And that style worked for Preacher, for me.

@@zaxx I know what you mean. It does look more indie than Marvel. It works for the horror scenes in my opinion, but the figures look very stiff.
