…so I just happened across this review, well done. I have 4 Helm’s and was an early adopter. I almost agree with you re the Komodo, I have the same iteration, apart from the engineered bracelet. That bracelet is banging on the Vanuatu Ti (The best fit for purpose watch in the range IMO). I have the rubber mint on the Komodo and it totally rocks it and works, I’d urge you to get the rubber and try it on wrist…

Nice review thanks. I was all set to buy the orange, but changed my mind last minute to the white dial. I bought the same bezel as you, and also the mint rubber strap which looks the business and is great for summertime. I'm going to put it on the other bezel today, hope I don't mess it up!

@@walkaroundwatches Yep I've got the orginal one off. Having a devil of a time getting the news one on. I've changed out watch bands before on a variety of watches but this one seems to be a whole different game!

@@crabbyreef if you can get one side of the pin in at least to the lug, can you hold it in place and use soemthing like a credit card to push the other pin down, then slot it in? If that makes sense? Also, go in from the back of the case if you can. Are you part of the Facebook Helm group? There are plenty who are far more skilled than me in changing bracelets, in particular the Komodo which is a tricky one. It's worth asking there.

I got my Vanuatu in August after 2 years on the list and just got "the call" on my Komodo 3 months on from that. I liked the black/blue dial or the orange but posted the question on the FB group and most recommend the white so the order went in today.👍

My favourite content you've produced so far. Really well put together with a great am narrative. Personally I like the orange dial but that's only because I prefer orange dials over white and naturally the orange dial is better suited with black therefore the black bezel is my preference. Great content however 👍🏽

The white dial was one of the first watches i fell in love with. After 4 years, my number is coming up in 6 months. I wanted to get your exact variation of the watch, though i am tempted to get the black dial and steel bezel as well. Im still not sure on what to choose! The white really does look good.

Hi, this is the white dial 03AR3 with the SS1 bracelet (you can buy this bracelet at a discounted rate when you buy your Komodo but be sure to select that it's for the Komodo to get the right lug fit). I also purchased the BEZ-03-05 silver/light blue bezel (again discounted if bought with the Komodo) and cha ged the bezel at home, which is easy peasy.

Just be aware that Helms dont arrive on their steel bracelets and the Komodo can be quite tricky to swap over.

I really would appreciate your response to this question... How do you remove the lug pins that are standard on the Helm Komodo? They seem quite chunky and I can't remove them to fit the bracelet strap which came with the watch. Looking forward to your swift and positive response. Cheers

Hi mate. ​I must admit it took me a while to crack this. Certainly wasn't the easier bracelet to change. To take the existing lug pins out, do you have a spring bar link remover tool? I'd use that. Re getting the new bracelet in, my only advice is if you can get one side of the pin in at least to the lug, can you hold it in place and use soemthing like a credit card or part of a very thin small knife to push the other pin down, then slot it in? If that makes sense? Also, go in from the back of the case if you can. Are you part of the Facebook Helm group? There are plenty who are far more skilled than me in changing bracelets, in particular the Komodo which is a tricky one. It's worth asking there.

Think that bezel is the best and also the silver bezel on the Vanuatu too. I've also seen the silver on the Khuraburi (white dial) which looks amazing but heard horror stories about changing that bezel. Nice choice there sir and great production 😈

I've also the silver bezel and engineer bracelet on the Vanuatu and it looks so muuuuch better (I obviously have a type 😳). I'd do the same to my. Khuraburi but I've also read the same horror stories and wouldn't want to end up smashing the crystal with my clumsy hands 😭

Thank you. The nezel featured in the review is the BEZ-03-5 which is the silver bezel and light blue lumed markings. This bezel doesn't come as standard and is an optional extra. I didn't need to purchase anything else (other than the SS1 bracelet). Bezel is super easy to change... Just get a very sharp kitchen knife and carefully slot it between bezel and case and it'll pop out. Hope you like your new Komodo 😊

Ah perhaps. I measured it at 20mm at the clasp and 20mm at the lug and think Helm state the same on their website, but there's bit of wriggle with it being 5 link 😊
