I love how gentle you are encouraging him after he spooks at the one jump. A lot of people would have gotten angry and hit him, especially after he did it twice, but instead you were gentle and just let him have a look at it instead. That’s good to see. :)

@@bella-floyd not really lmao, most horse riders are just like that, and if they arent, they don't hit the horse lmao. so negative. they typically just take a deep breath and keep pushing from what i've seen. there's a pretty small percentage of horse riders who act in anger towards the horse to the point of abuse.

I watched some of Elisa’s very old videos and in one her horse refused and he got smacked around 4 times. I won’t condemn riders that do that but it also cool to see the growth towards a more nurturing mindset :)

I just want to say a huge thank you for posting these helmet cams, even when things don’t go as planned (falling cameras, refusals, etc). Your boy is a very smart, brave horse. He consistantly is lenghtening 2 strides out (before his take-off point), and is a pretty good judge of distance, and I can see how the triple with the ditch just threw him. Horses are very afraid of ditches, they don't want to break their legs, and he's just a very thinking, fast reacting guy. wonderful learning video for everyone!

Hi, I know this is probably not the best place to look for answers but I cant find this anywhere else. so at my barn almost all the horses need a square pad and fitted pad, but I am considering share-boarding and I have my own square and jumping saddle pads but no Fitted pad, could I use a half pad instead of a fitted pad?
