hi, d1 ronin glazer here (cause it looks fucking epic) it's basically an upgraded c1300 cause its a prot tier above and protects entire head, with about the same fov/sight modifiers. Also the reason the pistol went through was cause it was ap lol

Me and novaZQ tested these helmets a while back and my big take away was that helmets are straight useless once AP gets brought into the equation. Even the Altyn an Mich will get shredded like paper with any decent caliber with AP. And at the gear level that your enemies are realistically going to be able to kill you, they will most likely have AP. Great video

Helmets are nearly useless to FMJ unfortunately. The amount of times I’ve pended the higher end helmets (Ronin, Krtek, Altyn w/without face shields) is disappointing. Like 5.45x39, 5.56x45, 7.62x39 all seem to pen them easily even if FMJ. CWS needs to buff helmets tbh

Hell one time I killed a trip with a random found in raid SKS. All headshots, and they had Altyn w/ face shield, C1300, and Ronin. All 1 taps to the head

For the pilot helmets there’s 2 areas Shield Helmet The first time u was hitting the helmet the second time with the makarov u hit the shield

Higher tier helmets will still get 1 tapped with ap rifle ammo which sucks. I will say though if you find a t6 and ronin/altyn at the beginning of wipe you will be almost unstoppable

Not all the time rifle ap goes through helmets its rng based rifle fmg will never go through altyn or mich, on the fandom (not saying that its true) rifle fmg has 0% chance to penetrate tier 5 prot and above, and Iam not positive but i think ap rifle is like 45% chance to go through, so u got shitty rng with the ap not that it pierces all of the time.

You dont understand that the ronin eyes have a different armor class than the helmet itself. Also the micky mask has no eye protection at all This makes you face shooting test useless, when you hit the eye by accident

ATE will take less damage from pistol rounds (meaning u can take more 9m to the head), as well as a little bit higher chance to stop rifles but its so slow it doesnt really matter. NVGs as well
