Nidus is the original carrier of the cyst. Any new Nidus will immediately start growing a cyst and start passing it to any warframe that is previously uninfected. Nidus is patient zero.

Another possible niche for him i missed would be for a glaive spamming build. The general thought is that he'll give you an extra 120-160 CD to melee weapons, but on most melee focused builds diriga will be much better due to priming for condition overload. So melee weapons that dont use condition overload like stat-sticks and glaives he will beat out diriga....However....this is all contingent on tenacious/hunter synergy being fixed.

Thanks for building this pet out! I love this weird guy so I'll probably keep using it, viable or not, until I get into the late game, but hopefully by the time I get there they'll have done a couple more fixes in its favor.

There is a "special" interaction with duplex bonds sometimes extra cysts spawns raising the cysts count too then that's listed.

Shocking Claws do not proc Archon Stretch on their own, but they do if you use Helminth’s Proboscis.

Aftwt watching this video i spent some time building mine and i got to say. Melee Nidus with helminth charger is really nice However i did god roll on my Tekko Primve riven for 300+% crit change and with all the maggots around it felt pretty ez to keep the crit dmg buff up. Im really glad i watched the video and playing nidus with a fresh coat of paint because of this companion and the rework has been nice. So many options have opened up for the Charger and Nidus together. Really fun time. Its also kinda fun with Inaros as well having the full strain set

You are able to use the strain set with this companion I believe , the little maggots are very useful they can do much but not everything. The bond mods make this pet extremely useful the claws also add a built in toxin so if you mod electric toxin and gas. The bellringer mods is also good

Why not use the elemental mods to make toxin,gas, electric to spread amongst enemies and strip armor ?

@caryroberts6748 the claw mods are too powerful not to use. In 1 mod you get 330 heat (electric one is good too), and 330 status chance. Even if you were to use 3 of the 60/60s you're only reaching about half of the damage and status chance gained through the 1 claw mod. And of course you also lose 2 other mods to fit them.

Resourceful retreiver is the most important mod on any beast build would be the only mod missing here if they fixed hunter synergy tenacious would be the second But that may be intended since otherwise all claw weapons can activate it
