Help ‘Em Up Harness: Dog TPLO Surgery Recovery Essential

I'm getting the medium for my doggy Butter Bear he weighs 65 lbs and he is most likely getting his front arm leg amputated I'm also getting the anti-rotation strap that runs underneath your body because with an amputation it can shift and twist sometimes so that strap will prevent it. Do you have any of the walking straps I'm going to get that with the swivel handle I don't see the kind that has where you can put it over your shoulder anymore I don't think they have that accessory anymore but the handle one is good I see. It's supposed to help them going down the stairs I see you have a leash on Diesel's neck I would hook the leash to the actual harness that looks great how you got him in and out of your vehicle

I think that size will be perfect for Butter! I’m so sorry about the surgery too but I bet he’ll be much happier after! I don’t have any of the walking straps or accessories and I’m not 100% sure which ones they still carry or not. If it’s on their website that’s the best bet, but I know everything they have is great! It’s such an awesome product!!

Butter Bear 🐻 😉 Yes will be perfect. He has Soft Tissue Sarcoma so this will be the cure. He doesn't seem to be in pain now... but this will prevent any problems down the road. He had it removed in December and then it grew back. I'm getting the walking strap that will help with stairs as he recoups. I'm excited to get this harness!! Thank you for this video and your babies are so cute and sweet!!! ❣️❤ Hugs to Diesel and the other cuties!!

Thanks, he's gorgeous! Do you use this harness for walking and if so, do you get any rubbing where the pelvic pad appears to sit close in front of the hind legs?

@@Croft-do5io I don’t use it for walking, only for lifting in and out of vehicles or stairs when needed! He’ll have it on for car rides and to get appointments and stuff the entire time and I’ve never seen any rubbing yet!

this harness is horrible and once you purchase you are stuck with it... save yourself the money and frustration, go with a ruffwear or one of the many other brands.

What made your experience so bad? This has been beyond helpful for my dogs and many that I know. Plus, as someone who also purchases from Ruffwear, their style harnesses do not serve the same purpose as this one and could not be used in the same way at all, so I would never recommend one of theirs as a replacement for this one.

Hello From the Netherlands. My dog has got Degenerative Myelopathie and is paralyzed at the back. How can I use this product to go for a walk? The handle is so short. And because he hangs himself, it's very hard and I'm afraid that those straps will hurt him between his thighs. He weighs 26 kilos🥹

Hi!! They actually have walking accessories that can be attached to it. The straps are actually super comfy because lots of the spots have the comfy neoprene cushiony fabric, but again, I don't know much about paralyzed dogs because I've never had one. What I would recommend is checking out the walking accessories, showing both the harness and the walking accessories to your vet and see if they think that would work for you! I hope that's helpful!!
