Thank you for your thoughts! 😊 I do really like the last one, I’m just worried I wouldn’t like the fabric. But I have been thinking I could try to swatch it and see what I think!

Your reflections on beauty reminded me of a favourite verse in Ecclesiastes 3 "He has made everything beautiful in its time". Thanks for sharing. I have a lot going on at the moment, so I've just allowed myself to cast things on and try them, knowing I can unravel if it doesn't work out. It's taken the pressure off a bit. I sometimes search for the yarn or a similar yarn on Rav and use the pattern ideas tab, not sure if you've looked there?

Thank you for sharing, Laura 😊 I can absolutely see how that would take the pressure off of making! I did try that! But it didn’t help my overwhelm seeing all the options lol. I started swatching for projects and hope that will help 🤞🏻

Im so glad you touched on glorifying God with knitting! I also struggle with the feelings of "am i being selfish?". recently I have been thinking about how knitting ,and the creativity that flows from me IS glorifying to God because of the joy it brings. Like how my time spent creating, is time I get to experience joy, which comes from the Lord :) I think people spend time with God in different ways (aside from prayer, reading the word, worshiping, etc), whether thats through creating, being in nature, singing, whatever it is, He created all these good things that we get to enjoy and praise Him with. Also, the fact that we have the ability with our gift to make things for others is an amazing gift! Also, i really love that speckly purple yarn, its beautiful! I really like the wayfairer raglan, i think for the collar, that's my vote!

It's very encouraging that I'm not the only one who wrestles with these feelings. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and how you've been processing it! I have never thought about it that this is one of my favorite ways to spend time with God (compared to others in nature, singing, etc.). I really love that thought! And how you mentioned praising Him with it, because He's the one that designed us each with a bent towards these things in the first place! Thank you so much for sharing, Dakota! :) It really made my morning! Thank you for your opinion on the sweaters too! I also love the collar on that sweater. I still haven't decided lol, but I'm enjoying knitting on those mittens!

Hello! I loved your vlog!😊 I totally understand about not being able to choose! I struggle with picking “the right one” too.😂 They are all great patterns, but follow your heart. Whenever I talk myself out of one for some seemingly practical reason I regret it and end up ripping out and going back to it. I have knit a pattern by Heidi May (the night owl). It was very well written. And I just love so many of Caidree’s. I knit the Suri shirt last year. If you love the Harlow, make a swatch. There is a tech editor with a podcast- The Unapologetic Knitter. In episode nine she gives instructions for calculating how to adapt for your yarn/gauge. Maybe that could help. She does a great job explaining things. Thank you for sharing your knitting and your faith! I am looking forward to reading your blog as well!
