I just got these discounted on Amazon, and they are so so comfortable. I did a couple of weeks research before I chose these, I wanted 3.5mm cable, good mic for work, and fit my budget. Absolutely love them! ❤️🥰 It's like plush cushions on my ears! No problems with my glasses also. These are my first closed back headset, also my first pair that isn't a budget no-name brand. The noise blocking was so good it cut out our loud vacuum cleaner running while I was watching a movie, which was a welcome surprise. I actually prefer to wear these to watch movies now, rather than just using regular speakers. Love them! ❣️➖The cable does make a loud rustle noise, but I got used to that quickly. 💡 Definitely get a cheap pop filter for the mic. ❓And the most difficult part was deciding whether to get the cool white version or the black one. I went for the black version because I can use it for a professional setting and it was more discounted, but really would have loved the white version. 🤗 Thank you for the review, it did help me in narrowing down my choice to get these.

Hey Techne, I have the headset and you are on point with everything. The only gripe is cable noise, but that is minor compared to the quality of the headphones. The H3 are my go to headset now because it requires no EQ adjustments as the sound is there when you need it. For 40 mm drivers, they rival the clarity of many 50mm units, i.e., like my Razor Blacksharks V2 or Logitech Pro X. The swivel mechanism is unique but works very well, I can wear them all day with no discomfort or pressure points, even with glasses on. I got them at an intro price when they were released for $89. At $120, I think they are still worth it. You can crank the volume up and they will continue to produce clear sound which many 40mm drivers start to distort at high volume. Again, $120 I would consider the upper limit, more than that then I would look elsewhere.

I've had the epos h3 for a month now and I don't regret for a second the 120 I spent. I payed for sound quality and comfort and these deliver in spades. Not to mention the versatility. I can go from playing a game to listening to music and then watching a movie with an atmos soundtrack and the h3's just don't miss a beat. Everything I throw at them is balanced and clear while still having heavy thump in the low end. Even in a gaming headset I find the sound to be more important than leds or Bluetooth or other useless gimmicks when console controllers and pcs all just use a 3.5mm jack and have their own sound processing.

EPOS actually IS sennheiser, its only new name for Sennheiser gaming audio. Price is justified. With each comparison, go in depth analysis of that microphone (background, EQ...) and sound clarity, and weight management. And after everything keep in mind its assembled by some type of standard that Sennheiser put out there. You have your answer. It is clearly justified. Please, take more of the EPOS gaming headsets, for example, wireless. You will open eyes to a lot of people in terms of quality. P.s. i love how you emphasized to leave the comments. i usually dont bother, but i listen to the whole videos, i dont skip ;)

Edit/ I paid $120AUD for mine, on sale from $149 I think. For $120 these are probably the best headset I could of purchases that wasn't cheap feeling, gimmicky or wireless. So for that they are beyond worth it. I think that's $90USD. So yer $120USD is steep but stuff goes on sale all the time. Snap these up when they do. I've gone from using the GSP 300 for years now as my go too gaming headset to now upgrading to this because the GSP 300 finally started to give on me, surprisingly it was only the connection in the boom arm on the mic, the mute function stopped working and the mic quality dropped, probably a loose wire in all honestly but I was due for a upgrade. Visually so this is a major upgrade, the H3 looks stunning, feature wise its the same great headset that does the job and nothing more. Mic quality is on par if not slightly better, comfort levels are way better with those new pads and the one piece headband and it just feels better quality, more solid plastic, metal sliders, braided removable cable. So for me personally in a gaming headset I'm looking at three major things, Comfort, Sound quality, Mic quality. The EPOS H3 just nails those for me and good that it does because i'll admit for the asking price it doesn't offer much else and even lacks some decent features like a decent volume nob like the GSP600 range. I got mine on sale so I'm very happy and I know I'll get year and year out of them.

Compared to what you can get from Logitech, Razer and HyperX what EPOS has made here is leaps and bounds better. I been using the H3 for a week, and when it comes to audio quality it is in a league of its own. The tuning, the clarity across the entire frequency range, the positioning in Stereo when playing Destiny 2 is crazy good. I am scared to do my weakly run of Presage as the sound design in that level is crazy good and with the H3 I have a feeling it might be to much for my anxiety level. I have the HyperX Cloud Alpha (about 90 bucks) and the Steelseries Arctis Pro (to much money) and neither come close to the sound quality, especially when it comes to clarity. The clarity is very close to what I get from my X2HR only without the open soundstage they have. The X2HR also is not well tuned for gaming, with to flat of a tune for my ears. There are a lot of $200 and more headsets with worst audio quality, and sure they come with 7.1 USB dongles, but if you are using that then audio quality does not matter to you and you should just get whatever has the most RGB. The only negitives I can give for the H3 is that they take a good amount of power to drive, and that the sound quality is VERY much based on what you are using to drive them. On my laptop with some mid range Realtek audio codec they sounded OK. Conected to the DAC and Headphone Amp on my Crosshair VIII they sounded out of this world. I also listened to some music on my Fiio DAC and it was great, I can't game with that DAC as it has a bit of processing time that desync's the sound and display. A detachable mic would be nice, as I steam with a Blue Yeti, but the headset is a lot smaller in person and the mic is not that noticeable when in the up position. I am really happy to see EPOS make this, I personally was not a Senn fan, as they seemed to me to be a company that had no new ideas and just used their name to justify the prices. I am really hoping EPOS puts out a open back headset soon, which based on how the H3 is labeled on the box I do think that is coming. The only people I have seen talking bad about the H3 are Senn fanboys who wanted it to fail to prove that EPOS without Senn is bad. I personally think EPOS without Senn is an improvement. Was it worth my 120 greenbacks ? Yes it was, and I am sure when the open back H(whatever) comes out for 300 plus, I will be happy to spend that as well.

I personally think they should be closer to $80 as they just don't have many "extra" features. Maybe even just making the mic removable or having it have a Bluetooth function. $100 would be more manageable, but for $120 I think I would spend a little more and get some of the wireless features.

I’ve been using the GSP300 for the past 2 years solid headphone these are branded as Sennheiser before Epos took over however epos is still using the Sennheiser tech in the headphones. I use this headsets in Siege on PS5 and it does a solid job I had the stealth 600 before that. However you can pick up the GSP300 on Amazon for 60$ imo they are the same headphones just rebranded for Epos
@sammyh.748

I've been using the GSP300 as well for around 4 years now. It's an amazing headset and very long lasting but its finally starting to die though. My splitter for the headphones have a slight short in it now and the mic cable, which connects to the headset directly, has completely shorted out and I'm now looking for a new headset. Within a year of owning it the letherette began to peel and the seams on the pads busted open though and were super cheap. I think this design by Epos is a bit better (I dont think it justifies the price though): the ear cups have quality fabric, better adjustment notching, and a flexible braided cable which is less likely to get shorts and is replaceable. I wish the GSP300 had a replaceable cable because i could just get that and some new ear pads and would still be able to use them but the cable is built in.

I love these got them in black and the volume can get loud very loud. Most gaming headsets have low volume sometimes you just want a few more decibels just to get to that perfect volume level. Can't wait to see what else epos comes out with next since there no longer with Sennheiser. Really hope they make a wireless headset with great volume and even include 2 choices of earpads.

Brands are pushing it with prices if you ask me. I don't think these are 40 dollars better headset than the Recon 500's you reviewed a few days ago. My biggest concern is durability on my Game One (yeah formerly Sennheiser) it stop working properly with one year of use, you need to "tap it" in order to get audio in both sides. EPOS brands think of themselves as a legendary brand and they will price their products as such. But truth is costumers we don't trust them, at least I don't once they were sold by Senn.

I mean i have to say, been using Sennheisers 25y+, just bought my first Epos branded one , the Epos H3 and damn ... WAY better than the old Game One(and these are not bad ether) i have.. these H3 are soo more nice to wear + sound is more clear / way more bass... and not that mushy bass, it hits hard and clean out of the box, haven't even drive these in yet. I think these are first closed headphones i have ever liked, good job... oh did i say i paid 64euros new from these :D

@@noppa82 Thanks man for your answer. I have been using the Sennheiser GSP 300 for the last 5 years and i really like them, but the earpads don't last for long, they open up like a chocolate bar wrap and then the letherette starts to disintegrate. Happened to both the initial earpads and the replacements that i ordered from Sennheiser/Epos. I wanted to buy some new headset and i was between H6Pro and H3. H6Pro looks very nice but it is just too expensive. On the other hand i read complaints about H3 that its earcups can be a bit small for some people so i got worried. Since you ve had both, do you think that their price difference is justified? I mean, are there really any differences between those two models besides earcup size and detachable mic? Do they produce the same quality of sound? I am really sorry for bothering you once more with additional questions but i just couldn't find many comparisons between those two online.

I feel like people say this a lot but then you see people willing to pay $500 for Astro's which literally do the same thing but wirelessly, sound probably the same if not worse and have a worse mic. So each to their own on price. For me the quality is there and the trust of the brand is still there from Sennheiser.

thank you.. I also have Hyper X revolver S but the quality of sound lets me waiting for more... Then i have also Corsair Hs75 the comfort is beter than the Pendrose Audese X but the lack of some sound compared to Pendrose is very disturbing.. And now i hope to get good comfort with Turtle recon 500 .. And beter sound that Hyper X revolver S.. And hope its beter that Corsair Hs75 ... I also have Glasses so i herd that they are very Glasses friendly... So i heard that the sound quality is beter when they have direct power delivered to recon 500 so i did ordered xbox wolverine V2 controller cuz it have a cable atached to gamepad so hope it will have good sound 😀 Aaa and i play console and i think that a cable to headphones is not a big deal to me so for me Audio quality is always over the wireless headphones and no connection problems... i want something easy comfortable and working with good audio quality

I'd pay no more than $80 for them. They could've been competitive with the cheaper headsets under a $100 and yet they didn't. Missed opportunity if you ask me. They just look way too plain for me with very basic options, plus them being wired is a huge negative for me personally. If you're going to have a wired headset over a $100 in 2021 they better have a ton of really great features.
