This was a perfect way to start my day, the expression on Kevin's face was awesome lol used with the comedy 😂. The education on all things reptile is so awesome and I have learned so much, so thank you. Thanks to you guys I have come a long ways in getting over my fear of snakes and even allowed my son to have his ball python near me and I have started to hold her and have even fed her....long ways from irrational fear and running away lol thanks guys! ❤ from. 🇨🇦

So they actually have a horrific drawn out death of their organs outgrowing their bodies. Dont be a jerk to any animal no matter its species. Get the right ght set up to begin with

Im really looking forward to the hobbyist level care videos. That’s what is needed. More people keep these as pets at this level than breed and there isn’t enough of the correct information out there and really the only place to go is fb. You’re right, there are some really great groups, but not all of them are and not all the people on them are decent people.

Do they not know that something that small will freeze in winter and then they’ll just have a really, really expensive fish stick???? Not to mention the poor fish will be stressed out to the max because there is no room to move or hide from predators??? Wtf man. People should have schooling and have to write a test own other living creatures; maybe even have to have a license (yeah, that may be too much) but seriously

Aspen retains moisture. It sucks the humidity out of the snake. Ball pythons are Native to Africa where they would burrow deep into termite mounds. Which are very hot and very humid. Although they don't need UVB they do need a humidity box, a dry area, a water dish, and rough hide on the cool end.... a humidity box can be ordered online or made out of tubberware if you have tools. Just Make sure if you build it yourself there's no sharp or rough edges in the entrance. Coconut fiber works well for holding the humidity.

Awesome video and great to see you learning as you grow there at Nerd Donny and you couldn't ask for a better mentor than Kevin when it comes to learn about the snakes and other reptiles and animals and their cognition and needs and requirements :) I keep my largest constrictors in 48 inch NPI enclosures and they have room to move around but still have less space to feel vulnerable which isn't even an issue with my snakes because they spend most of their time outside of their enclosures :) I think a snakes enclosure also has to be based on their social life and activities but for a snake that seldom gets to come out of it's enclosure to learn to trust then smaller makes them feel safer and more secure !! :)

The beginning is the best way of saying hey idiots that buy a snake have no idea they don’t stay small enough to remain in the first enclosure from when their babies as the massive one you’ll need will cost much more money and time plus big food for large snake brings additional problems so if ya don’t think you cant provide for them as an adult don’t buy them because u “think” you can handle the upkeep!Dont just buy one leave it in the not great home you’ve thought was perfect not knowing and then your in the woods setting it free or kill it to make room for a new one or dropping it off to a rescue or just quit looking at it at all until it dies from starvation or dehydration!Just saying that’s what I think I’m hearing🙂
