Some how I have no bees this year it started out with lots but they disappeared? I do not know what is happening no cucumber or squash bugs no red lilium beetles either no lady bugs now too etc. seems I only have flies and it seems as the season progresses just house flies mainly but had a few weird ones earlier but have found nothing else nothing flying around the garden this is a first for me in the 60 years I have gardened. So I also have been self pollinating as I did when I had a small green house but I use a cotton swab for each type of plant and go flower to flower so now fruits are starting to develop? I know tomatoes peppers eggplant self pollinate but my climber beans are starting to flower so must find out what to do here the peas did well but I still had bees then? Strawberries and raspberries did good too but elderberry is just developing buds and some animal (skunks, racoon s, possums, mice?) kept chewing the few blackberry plants right off till they are dead now? I even had my wasps disappear now? I am hanging yellow traps now maybe to see if I can catch what is causing this? I am still getting the white cabbage moths on the (brasias? cannot remember the spelling) rutabaga, cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts, beets etc. are all ok so far. Just cannot figure out what is happening to the pollinators. Thank you I forgot using the male flowers like that and it is the best way. Old lady getting forgetful now what an excuse but it is true!

@@nancywalten3881 it’s very sad. We’re noticing the same too. My neighbor has kept bees for half his life. He had 12 hives - all died. It’s in the air. Some sort of chemical in the air is killing the pollinators. I’ve had a terrible year in the garden as well. Lots of mold and strange diseases. It’s not good, that’s for sure! Thank you for your comment. It’s good to be able to share our experiences. From what I hear it’s nationwide.

@@sheenashomestead Oh no, my Clematis's are now dead and roses whole branches dying now but I thought I just sounded like a complainer thank you for sharing this.

@@nancywalten3881 you are not the only one this is happening to, unfortunately. I’m sorry your flowers are dying too. Our entire orchard flowered early due to warmer than normal temps and then a frost came and wiped them all out. We don’t have any fruit this year.
