Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! There's so much conflicting or otherwise unhelpful information about puppies in the first few nights in the crate, "if they whine excessively you're doing it wrong" vs "let them whine it out" vs "if they try to bite the cage there may be something wrong", this worked in 5 minutes, I was shocked when my puppy fell asleep and wasn't whining, your video deserves more recognition!

This helps in more ways than you can imagine. It is great for both you and your pup. A small speaker/player that plays special healing frequencies and relaxing music for pets. I like this one. I understand a polite approach to training puppys, But sometimes some trainers are TOO nice. Some puppys will misbehave while training, so Here he simply states a rule, and waits until she/he understands. Its not the "Constant Reward" type training, but it also doesn't involve physical abuse. I like this!

But tonight, I decided to put him in the crate using your method and it worked!!! I also placed a chew toy to avoid boredom. His noise was lessened to about 90%, and he is COMPLETELY silent by now! This sounds like the exact position that I am in right now. I adopted two puppies and crate train them separately at different times. I used Zak George's method and only one of the pups is okay to sleep at night in their crate and cries only when they need to go out to pee/poo. The other one cries for hours on end. It's only been a week and I'm running out of ideas for the pup who cries. Hopefully this will help me like it did with yours. Any tips or what to expect other than what's in the video already?

After a couple nights of attempting this method and being patient and consistent in the middle of the night, it finally all paid off!! Just make sure that if she’s crying because she wants to pee - you need to bring her straight outside to pee and then bring her back straight to the crate, no cuddling or playing with them so they know they’re only out of the crate for business. My Frenchie is now almost 5 months and she sleeps throughout the entire night! I’m so happy I discovered this video!!

This worked for me and we are on day 3!! We are still letting her outside to go bathroom every few hours, but if you use this method it will save you.

Amazing! SEVENTEEN nights since he arrived, my puppy would not stop barking frantically in his crate. Tried this tonight, and after a few minutes, he fell asleep. He did wake up about 20 mins later, and we weren't in the room, but he quieted back down and fell back asleep. FINALLY, some peace and quiet!

I got my puppy 3 days ago and until now I did my best to come to her rescue whenever she cried. i had her in a traveling carrier that opened at the top and I'd pet her through it from my bed. tonight I'm trying this! for the past 2 days I taught her to sleep in her actual crate during the day so she can become comfortable. in fact, when she gets sleepy she goes right to it. but I want her to sleep in it at night so I can eventually get sleep too. hopefully the head start I gave her will work in my favor! I like that the method you showed seems simple and totally doable. I will update on my journey to crate training my 8 week old puppy.

Omg thank you so much! Tried this after my 6 month old puppy would scream and loudly bark when we closed the crate door (he had no problem sleeping in it with the door open in our room). He got the idea pretty fast, only had to do it one time. I didn't have to go back and repeat. He only whined for about 15 minutes the first night and doesn't whine at all anymore when it's bedtime. AMAZING!!!!

Thank you for this amazing method.. worked really well for my 9 weeks old Boston..now she simply loves her crate. Whenever she needs her own safe place, she would just hop in and nights are more calm. 😊

We have an 11-week-old cockapoo. He's been living with us now for 8 days. The first 7 were tough. We tried to leave him locked in the kitchen overnight and did our best to ignore his howls (it was ear-splitting stuff but it was more the stress at leaving him locked away alone that got to us). Then we bought a crate after several friends recommended them. I had zero confidence in the crate working. Then we watched this video. Dude - if you're ever in Ireland, I owe you a beer. Thank you for taking the time to create this no-BS video. I've watched what feels like hundreds and this is the only one that solely gives actionable advice. For anyone reading this, here what we did: - Followed the method in the video (the only thing we did differently was take him out to the bathroom 3 times (I'm now sure that a lot of the barking from the previous nights was him going mad to get out to the bathroom) - Avoided talking to him in the crate (just kept saying shhhh and using the hand gesture shown in the video) - On the first attempt at leaving the room, he lasted for an hour and whimpered a little (he was taken out to the bathroom) - He settled quickly and didn't bark - On the third and forth times (we had an alarm set for every two hours to let him use the bathroom) he got up, went to the toilet, and then settled in the crate straight away For anyone watching this that's currently feeling stressed and sleep-deprived, TRY THIS OUT. We've gone from mayhem to calm literally overnight. The most useful video I think I've ever watched on KZbin.

OOOOOOMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG....YOU ARE A MAGICIAN!!!!!! If I could like this video 1000x's I would. I have a mini schnauzer that's 8 weeks old. The first night of crate training was AWFULLLLLLLLL. He cried ALL night, even had me second guessing myself if I could handle this...lol..After research and LUCKLY stumbling on your video, I tried your tactics and WAH LAH!!!!! no more crying and not another sleepless night. The first night of using your training my pup slept quietly until 6am when I woke up. He even embraced his crate as his den now, going there voluntarily now!!!!.. PawVlogs thanks for your information and sharing your practical tactics with the world....THANK YOU

This video has helped my Husband and I alot with our 8 week old Aussie Mini Mix that we just got on a few days ago, he had never been crated before and would immediately start yelping when we latched the door to his cage but with this technique he settled down in about a half hour, slept for 4.5 hours, I walked him and then took him back up to his crate and did the technique for about 10 mins and hes out like a light again. Thank you so much for a great video that really works!

I just brought home my 7 week old Husky and she hates the crate. Tried to sleep tonight and she cried and howled for a hr. I couldn't take it. So I saw your method and within 15 mins I'm back in bed and she has been asleep for 30 mins now! Thank you so much.

I tried this tonight on my 9 week-old pup. Up til now it has been a real challenge but I did exactly what you demonstrated in the video. It took just a few minutes until she caught on, but she's sleeping in her crate soundly and the stress level for her has been eliminated. I seriously appreciate this clear and well executed demonstration! it may take some reminders but it has made an immediate difference in our home. Thank you. I look forward to watching more of your videos on training tips and techniques.

Mine too she is 11 weeks old and she really likes her crate until we close the door then she starts whining and howling it’s sad but she also needs to know how to be alone. In her foster home they obviously didn’t spend a minute away from her so she flips out every time we close the door to a room we are in or if we close her crate door. Don’t know how to fix it 😕
