As someone who has been nannying for 20 years, I truly appreciate learning new methods to help care for my kids. I'll never be a mom, but being able to help mother's and their children is a singular experience that no words can describe.

We didn't have nannies, but the ladies who cared for our babies at daycare meant everything to us. I literally couldn't leave the daycare a few times, and they reassured me just by watching them care for the other babies. I'm still in contact with several of the ladies 17 years later via Facebook. They will always have a special place in our hearts! My kids don't remember those early years, but we do, and we know how big a part of the village they were. They kept our babies safe, fed, and happy when we needed to care for others ourselves. They gave us a sense of peace we needed. I imagine you are offering the same to the babies in your care and their families! Thank you so much for what you do!❤

Look how her tiny hand touched her face as she was feeling relief. ..awww poor baby. I had no idea how uncomfortable gas was until I had it. Dammit it hurts💯
@Idontwant14 ай бұрын
I had my babies in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I had to learn that tip on my own. I wasn’t close to family when they were each born. And I remember being a park with my oldest daughter. And I was trying to help get her to toot but nothing I knew how to do was working. And this other young Mom offered to show me what works on her baby. And I was tired and thrilled for any help. She placed her baby on a blanket on the ground and I laid my baby on a blanket on the ground across from her. And she showed me how to help release that gas bubble. I had her little feet in my hand and I lifted her feet and gently rolled her a little and a toot happened and the relief on her face was instant. I asked if I should do it more. Her face wasn’t relaxed completely. And I rolled her to the other side and nothing happened and the other Mom said don’t get discouraged she isn’t completely use to this yet. It may take a couple tries. And I did the spreading her hips and pushing her knees up and she had a toot that was so loud it startled both babies for a second. Then my daughter gave a huge smile and a burp and she was a happy relived camper. I continued to do that with all 6 of my babies and then with my Grandbabies. And I tried to help any Moms struggling when I see them. It takes a village
