Helpful Tips for Growing Florida Bananas

Dwarf Namwah is an absolute unit of a banana variety. Vigorous grower, heavy producer of high quality desert bananas, has a thick pseudostem which makes it very wind resistant, drought tolerant (due to all of the water it can hold in that thick pseudostem), compact (fruits with a stem around 7-10 ft tall), and cold hardy. I live on the central Gulf coast in zone 9B and they shrug off the 0-3 or so freezes we get each winter. Can't recommend it enough.

Good video love banana while love everything edible I'm in zone 7A Tennessee I have 4 varieties of banana plants now 4 years growing musa basjoo 3 years growing Caroline King 2 years growing dwarf cavendish and dwarf orinoco just planted a couple weeks ago no banana so far all in ground

My favorite banana (so far) is the ice cream banana. It's super fluffy and not as sweet as common cavendish and apple bananas.

every Banana is a "Musa". The called Musa Dwarf cavendish, Musa Grand Nain, Musa Basjoo etc. 😉
