I was facing some time for dealing, and smuggling a couple years ago, I had an entire year on pre trial, where I started getting more involved in my church, did a lot of community service on my own, started working out again and got in great shape, never missed a drug test and had a lot of my family come to my sentencing date and by the time that came around the judge ended up telling me that she didn’t want to ruin the good work I had been doing and that she felt comfortable giving me a year of house arrest and 6 months of 40 hour weeks community service. So whoever is in a similar situation pre trial COUNTS. Fix your life BEFORE you go to prison. ** and pray, people don’t realize how much that helps. People love a comeback story, so don’t let your mistakes define you, don’t wallow in self pity, just put one foot in front of the other and let your comeback define you.

@29:38, Big Red Flag, his family WON’T send him any money while incarcerated. Unless his family is dirt, broke, poor, it’s a BIG red flag there if they don’t send money. He MUST have pissed off everyone or done something so bad to them where they wouldn’t send him a few dollars here and there. It’s natural for a family member to feel some kind of empathy for him and his situation and send him a little something to be a little comfortable. The cats I met in prison, who’s family members chose to banish them were the type type of people who burned everyone, who only cared about themselves, who were ONCE on top of the world and shatted on everyone, and are now incarcerated and family, friends, etc, now totally turned their backs on them….

Joe, I just seen a clip from ABC Action News about a man who was just released after 21 years, he had gotten a life sentence for loaning his car keys to a friend. His name is, RYAN HOLLE. I just thought you may want to talk to him for a possible video.

I’m also facing some adult time myself, been watching for awhile. Got caught up in something at 15, originally in the juvenile court system but a few months after i got out of juvenile detention they bumped the charges to adult court. I tripped up again and got put on house arrest. Been on it since beginning of junior year and i’ve just graduated high school. Currently 17 and turning 18 in a couple of weeks. Really stresses me and my mom out.

Good luck to him... & I hope he can get on some medication or some type of "treatment" that'll help his ailment(s) & make his life easier and better-- both while in prison AND OF COURSE when he gets out!! ✌🏿 ❤

A couple of things I have questions about. First off why would he get a stalking charge for going crazy in the garage. It sounds more like he did something to step sis and that’s why he went back. Then he ends up with the chomos so that goes back to my first point. Lastly, why would he ask for advice if he was locked up already. Seems weird but with other offenses I would say he going for at least 1 year. Good luck man

Most REAL crazies don't either...n he has a stalking charge which the story he mentioned makes no sense at all, those actions dont equal a stalking charge....like nah this homie all the way fried...but atleast he had the balls and heart to show us all his flaws alot more that 90% of people are willing todo so i commend you for that and hope you get the help you need.

Schizophrenia is extremely serious, the legal system needs to do a better job handling this medical illness. My brother is like this young man and it has been very hard and sad. My brother has had some very close calls with the legal system that could have lead to jail, both were caused by his schizophrenia. Both times I had to work closely with the law to keep my brother out of jail. The first time my brother was walking in our downtown area when he started hearing voices. There was a young woman that he did not know and he thought the voices were saying she had a knife in her purse and was going to use it on him. He just randomly pushed her and yelled at her but did no physical damage, he was arrested and it was a mess. The doctors evaluated him and he was legit diagnosed with schizophrenia and he got probation but no jail time. My brother is lucky he had people to stick up for him but it was still very sad. I feel sorry for schizophrenics who don’t get the help they need. Good luck to this young man!❤

Missouri prisons are rough, I did some time there 6 years ago for a drug charge. It was hard being an outsider and not knowing anybody but I got through it as a lone wolf. Hope your charges are OK cause they will check your paperwork upon entry. Respect will take you a long way is best advice I can give you and don't draw attention to yourself like those other knuckleheads in there.

As someone from Missouri, who was in the system. The state likes to do a lot of 120 shocks and 120 treatments rather you have drug charges or not because they get a lot of federal kick back for people being in the program. Especially first timers. But if you do go in, being from the area of Missouri where you’re from, be ready for certain gangs to recruit you.

As a retired correctional officer here in Honolulu HI, my take on this is.... he better not go to a medium or maximum facility. He was only in a jail type of setting for 3-4 months and he couldn't adjust, or assimilate with the the rest of the population no matter where he was placed e.g. iso, GP, PC, and ultimately had to be transferred to another facility. All his charges have to do with physical outbursts or physical aggression and these are the first type of people that judges lock up..
