How do you find these camps? This looks like it's far from the street and hiding in the woods. You're really brave to do this on your own. You're really inspiring. Since watching your videos I've started keeping a small travel bag of canned food, water, hygiene items, socks, and candy with me in the car. I also keep dog food cans because sometimes I see this one person with a dog. I haven't seen camps but there is always a person or two with signs at the corners near Walmart so I give the bag to them. I wish I knew how to start a donation campaign but I don't have a way to video record and I don't feel comfortable approaching strangers like you do. You're going to need gas donations pretty soon for yourself with the gas prices going up.

Instant coffee ,snack cheese,snacks that are easy to eat not trail mix bars cuz of bad teeth no one wants them,travel size hygine,and hot food even leftovers are very appreciated slipper socks to the warm thick ones and small demoniation gifts cards like 10 for fast food

I'm missing something, how is this far from the street? You can see the road several times in the video. Also hardly what I would call woods, I live surrounded by the woods and this ain't it. You would be able to clearly see them from the road, there is almost no vegetation at all except for a few trees here and there. Sorry, just a bit puzzled how anyone couldn't see the road right next to the camps and how anyone would call that woods. Maybe they are woods if all you've known is desert.

Our local bread outlet throws away their bread…rolls…buns…We went around to the back of the store…We loaded my pickup bed full of all bread items…We drove around town to folks in need..They even came out with clothes baskets to put their bread items in. It was the best feeling of helping out….You are a godsend to these folks…

What a blessing you are!! I appreciate when I see a homeless camp that is tidy like the brothers spot. My daughter was homeless for a few years and I appreciate ppl who came with food when she was. She is clean and sober 2 and a half years now living well. When I can we help out ppl we see but you Sir are such a beautiful human.

Yes and rents keep going up no matter where you live. My husband and I moved from the NYC/NJ area bc it just got too expensive to live and moved to South Dakota thinking it would be more affordable but nope. Once our lease is up in September, they're raising the rent. It's sad that ANYONE can be a stones throw away from being homeless in the richest country in the world. It seems you can only survive if you're filthy rich or dirt poor and decide to live off the government. We're neither. My sisters pay less living in the middle of Manhattan than we do living in South Dakota simply bc they've decided not to work and live off the government instead so everything is provided to them. Meanwhile we both work and struggle to stay afloat. Where's the incentive? It's a broken system indeed

There's so many things running around in my head everytime i watch your videos that end up not leaving a message in here because of such feeling of pain in my heart. Sometimes i end up crying. Yes I noticed that there were bags of trash sitting around. Now the city just needs to put some public dumpsters in these area. they have no place to put it even if it's in bags. Perhaps it would keep the city and their homes cleaner.

You titled this video as "Helping my homeless neighbors ".."neighbors" being the most important word...what an expansive heart you have,Michael..💙...and knowing that most of these people are drug addicts too..we certainly have mental health/financial/ drug issues...(that lead to this ever growing homeless situation),that are not being properly addressed or legislated...in this country especially. The imbalance of financial abundance is staggering and completely ignored by those in power. In my personal experience.. and to what I have witnessed,it is those of us, whose heart.. is bigger than our pockets,that always help those in need,those whose voices are being ignored...or silenced. Albeit our fellow humans or animals. There is always an opportunity to help some being.. somewhere ..at any time. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖🐶🐱🐴🐺
