I look at my sons, and the choices they made the last several years. Both are dads, taking care of their children, trying hard not to pursue the "easy money" assome of their friends had done, some are dead or incarcerated or strung out. I think they saw the way I parented them(not always perfectly or right); the took the best I showed them, and let go of the things where I fell short. If that isn't resilience, I don't know what is. I couldn't be more proud of them.

We have the problem that our two boys very "as a matter of fact", keeps saying "are you dumb" or "that's dumb" when they don't agree with something/someone. We constantly have to reprimand and correct them to stop saying this. Any advice?

Be respectful. Dr Koch has spoken about her struggle with deep voice and qualities that did not seem feminine. Her parents were highly supportive of her as a female who didn't fit the "beauty mold". She is absolutely a woman! The real deal. Listen carefully.....not to her voice, but to her heart. Nothing fake here !!
