Man you are dope. All i have to say to you is thank you! thanks for sharing a content that really helps everybody. I'm a brazilian cover singer and I got a very little tiny homestudio , all my mixes after your videos were from 50 to 150% better. I use this 2tracks beats to mix with my vocals, i would like that you make a video using the (WAVES TRACKSPACER) in order to create a pocket for vocals in the instrumental, the WAVES TRANS-X (SHAPING THE TRANSIENTS), a basic Equing in order to get rid of the frequency masking and the (WAVES CENTER) to get rid of the center information for the vocals to sit in. I appreciate your content, I know youre a great singer and a great producer, I think seeing you make a full mix and master process of 2track beats instrumental could save thousands and thousands of people like me. or eq from neutron
@Thatnigacj4 жыл бұрын
it'sLue what is sidechain? Is it the same as parallel compression?
@HabibiTommy984 жыл бұрын
Thatnigacj no it isn’t the same. Sidechain Compressing is a complete different way to edit. U use a Compressor on a Track. In this kind of use at a instrumental Stereo Track. Than you sidechain the plug in to a group or Track with your vocals. Than the compressor will compress the Beat like it would be your vocals. Compression on vocals just on the beat. I’m very bad at teaching😂. Very famous technique for 808s with kick drums. Use for sidechaining 808
@206onyx4 жыл бұрын
true that but I'd say if you cut the mids before side chaining the vocals it let's the vocals to sit more comfortably than cutting through when vocals kick in

@lilmaybe2414 жыл бұрын
It depends on the DAW settings a lot. One of my prod told me that he see the difference, but i think its just a placebo effect and he just likes one DAW workflow rather than other

Check your interface/audio driver settings. Either that or there's some major bit rate conversion going on that's messing with your output

Man this is such a big conversation and to my knowledge and experience different DAWs have different types of audio engines and algorithms so in my head I feel there is a difference but I could be VERY wrong. I notice FL studio is colder but knocks odee. ProTools feels like it tries to mimic a more analog feeling more on the warm side. While logic feels bright and spacious but once again I could be very wrong!!
