Damn, making a send with a distorted, eq'd and widened 808 is simply gold. You are literally the best youtuber out of there when it comes to mixing hip hop/RnB and also explaining it! I honestly, mixed a song recently based on the techniques and tools provided in your videos, and it turned fucking amazing. Thank you for that, and keep going my man, this is something that you don't get even in paid courses.

Mark Thomas You don’t have to invert the phase in this case, it’s completely wrong, because if you invert the same signal , it causes phase cancellation and your sound is also not mono compatible anymore, so in the clubs, in radio or in your phone or every where , where you play your song mono, you will have no bass at all 👍 watch this video on your phone and as soon as he inverts the signal you can’t hear anything 🙂 18:57 Phase cancellation

This is an awesome presentation! If you haven't do so already, you may need to compile a paid video series where you show the complete process of recording, mixdown and mastering techniques that you employ for a finished, radio-ready, consumer-grade music product. Your videos are about to become the next big thing in music production. I watched smk go from 5k views to 300k overnight. I watched busy works beats first video 2 weeks after it came out. I’ve seen a lot of shit in music production tutorials and publishing that I called years ahead of when they blew up. This shit right here is about to go full blown Pompeii. I wouldn’t be surprised if by December all your vids have over 100k

Hey Devon, amazing tutorials - thx a lot for these! A thing which seems kinda tricky with your technique are phase issues tho - through inverting the phase it sounds super super stereo but as soon as you put it to mono the phases just completely cancel each other out! I find either chorus or specific stereo widening plugins work better in that case
@AchillesxHeal3 жыл бұрын
He mentions that the channel that has the invertion, is suppose to be in stereo because its in the higher frequency. Its not suppose to be in mono.
@aphextriplet68503 жыл бұрын
@@AchillesxHeal they know that. They're talking about 'mixing in mono' in a way, in order to hear how your elements sound in a mix played through a system that maybe doesn't facilitate stereo playback
