Love your method its like a "push / pull" or more subtract ,add, subtract type of thing ,which ultimately lead to the point of mixing every vocal , balance it's actually genius, personally i achieve it by using a single eq ,saturation, 3 compressors, multiband/ d-esser parrellel compression, then just pushing and pulling the volume faders, but your methods are definitely advanced, great stuff 👍

I watch all your videos but never comment. Just wanted to say you’re the boss when it comes to this ish. Had a little suggestion for your next video which would be using one of your templates and show us how you would mix your background vocals, adlibs and harmonies to one of your templates. That would probably give us more motivation to buy them. I’m planning to buy the male 4 pack and the female 4 pack, I just need those waves plugins, saturn and valhalla reverbs and I’ll be good to go. Let me know what you think of the suggestion.

I'm a noob, always trying to learn, with that said, that reference song is mastered, how do you emulate a vocal or a beat or anything using a mastered reference but maintaining that mix headroom and dullness so it doesn't sound harsh when mastering? this question makes sense?

Drop the level of the mastered song and mix to achieve that sound. It doesn't need to be changed in mastering if it's good enough.

question on the mic modelling plugins, i have the Mic Mod from antares which basically does the same thing, but i have an se2200a, do you know of any way to find what microphone. has the same sound / frequency response as the one im using if its not on the list, or is the only way to go around google and compare the frequency response graph to the se2200a untill i find one that is close
