The previous plans for the automatic Metro in Helsinki have now officially been abandoned, and these cars will soldier on to the 2020s!

rather than scrapping these units, they should instead move them to a museum or an enthusiast organization for preservation.

Yes, Why can't they preserve just one EMU, at a museum or an enthusiast organization? It would be so sad to see these only "real" 1970s metro trains disappear forever :(

These are actually pretty valuable as they’re the first metro trains with VF drives in the world :D

As of 2021, car number 104 is being held at the Helsinki City Museum. Cars 101, 102, 103, 105 and 106 are scrapped though. It's nice that one car still exists, but sad since you can no longer travel with these. They only way to experience these trains now are KZbin videos like this, and our memories. Units 101-106 will always have a special place in my heart.

I have no clue, it's a strange error, but luckily, it doesn't spoil the video that much - it just lasts for about 32 sec. but it's a little annoying :/
