Hematology: Performing Sample Drawer & Manual "STAT" Analysis on Sysmex XN 550

This video shows how to perform automated CBC analysis on the Sysmex XN 550. Both sample drawer and manual analysis are shown. The video also describes how to work through two common errors students may experience in the analysis process. These include not placing the sample holder in the completely seated position in the sample drawer and not removing the specimen from the manual sample holder immediately after analysis. Multiple specimens are run and the automated results categorized into needing a smear review or not.

Yes you can on the STAT side in the micro adapter

How do you result transmit to the host computer? Do you select the samples, then validate, and then select the host computer????

I am not sure if you mean to the LIS or the analyzer's own computer. Ours is not connected to an LIS. The results should automatically show up on the instruments computer if run (manually or by barcode).
