I have microscopic hematuria. Went to a urologist today and he did a full work up. Did a Ct scan and nothing showed, full examination nothing abnormal. Next is a cystoscopy. Also sent my urine to a cytology. Praying it’s nothing major. 🙏

Just saw ur comment. I’m having the same issues as you. But I have 2 kidney stones doctor doesn’t think the stones are causing the blood the stone are not moving and have to be removed surgically. Ct was normal and urinalysis was normal. I am scheduled for a cystoscopy. What did they find with u ?

I have an enlarged prostate which is causing all sorts of problems for me, including pain. Occasionally I see blood in my urine at the very beginning.This morning most of it was blood along with some tissue matter. I know an enlarged prostate can can blood in urine but when do I know if it's something more serious? PSA is less than 6 and my urologist didn't feel a bump on my prostate so cancer might not be a problem.

Thank you so much, I've been looking for this, my husband who is 82 years old has been waiting for a gallbladder removal operation for over 8 months now, the call finally came in, the surgeon called him the hospital wanted more tests and he got all the tests and now they want to put aside the operation until they solve the kidney problems according to his scan, he was sent same day to another hospital and that's when he got a catheter put in and he has been peeing blood ever since, it's been 3 days now, the urine is red like tomato juice I can't see any pee just red liquid. He is in pain with this thing and he was told he would have to have the catheter for a period of 3 months until he gets his operation in his prostate gland. However he will be getting his gallbladder removed in about 7 days because the urologist said it was okay to go ahead with the gallbladder removal. Then he will have to go through his prostate operation in 3 months. I find this is not right 3 months of pain, 3 months of not eating because he is not hungry much. Don't know what to do, do you have any advice. He is in constant pain for 3 days now with this catheter, I don't know what to do, can you give advice please.

Hi, This is Anju ,I have microscopic haematuria for past 3-4 years ,when it was noticed I did CT kub , ultrasound abdomen and Many test ,but they didn't find anything significant.i don't have any physical problem since than my full blood count is normal. My dip stick urine revealed 1 + blood but no other findings. Go to the Dr.dear and relax. It's all going to be ok. Pray to Jesus to heal you. I'm praying for you. I'm having hematuria too. I just had an US today 4-6-21 and all we can do is pray. And make sure you go to the Dr. It's probably just an infection for you need antibiotics.

I was diagnosed with a 3 cm Left Kidney Mass, through a Renal Ultrasound, when I was hospitalized for a Kidney Infection, because I had both visible and non visible Hematuria, along with left side Flank pain. I was given a 2nd Renal Ultrasound, then a CT Scan of my Abdomen and Pelvis, which also showed this 3 cm Left Kidney Mass. My Urologist referred me to another Doctor. I have this appointment tomorrow. What is the chances that this is Cancer, and what should I expect?

⁠I had UTI many years ago and treated with Antibiotics and I have a mild pain in right kidney since. Now I have fresh blood (a few drops) at end of urination. Any suggestion on what is going on? There are several tips for relieving incontinence naturally Try Kegel exercises- which involve flexing the same muscles you use to stop the urinary flow. Use losing weight if you are overweight excess belly fat puts pressure on the bladder and the pelvic muscles. Shedding a few pounds if you are overweight can help restore your bladder control. See if you can train your bladder - put off going to bathroom. Try to delay urinating by 10 minutes and build up to 20 minutes etc. Use magnesium and vitamin D Try Quiting smoking. Nicotine can irritate the bladder. (I discovered these and why they work on Nilah Control Plan site )

I had hematuria the other day, went to ER, they prescribed antibiotics (cipro) and it has cleared up. Will see urologist. But I also have an umbilical hernia located near my right bladder. Do you know if it's possible for the hernia, under stress, to bleed into the urethra, causing hematuria? Thanks.

Thanks for the video, well, I’m curious to know the connection between hematuria and duplex kidney. Let me give you a little story. last year after physical checkup the report from urine said I had to see the Doctor ASAP. I went to the doctors and they check urine again they said I have Microscopic hematuria and they use ultrasound to check my kidneys and bladder and say they was no problem they told me to visit again after 6 weeks. I went after six weeks and had a urine test the microscopic hematuria was still there but only a little this time. So they used sonography and the doctor said they don’t see any malignancies or kidney stones but they mentioned something like a nutcracker or something. Well the session that day ended with referral to the big hospital with specialist. So at this new hospital they performed a CTI scanning and the doctors report was there was no kidney malfunction ,no cancer signs etc but they found I have duplex kidney on my left kidney (i was so confused) so they say may be it’s the reason but they scheduled another appointment after six months to check. By the way I’m not sick at all I’m very healthy.

Watching this video to learn about Hematuria and am frustrated because I have a history of UTIs and have never not had gross Hematuria accompany. My issue is I’m pushing 40 and am just uncomfortable with the oh it’s just another UTI and physicians seem hesitant to start with more testing right away. I don’t consistently experience UTIs or recurrent UTIs but from my teens the Gross Hematuria was always present and because I recently had food poisoning followed by UTI I began researching on my own after the physician just prescribed Antibiotics and sent me on my way.

Have a family member who has a Foley, ever since Foley replacement his urine is a very dark, practically black color, he’s averaging over 900 cc of this very dark urine per day. His hemoglobin level is stable & his white blood cell count is normal. We’re told it’s old urine but if it was, wouldn’t it become clear within a short time? Wouldn’t he be urinating this “old blood” before the foley was replaced? Where can he possibly be storing so much “old blood”? Any other explanation other than “old blood”???

Hey Doc, I recently picked up running longer distances and went to a whole-foods plant-based diet. My runs range from 3 to 19 miles. The other day I ran 7 miles and stopped home to urinate and I had gross hematuria. It cleared after drinking a bunch of water and within a couple of urinations. It scared the daylights out of me. Sounds like that doctor don't know what he's talking about. Anytime you have blood in the urine it could be a serious problem or it could not. It needs to be checked asap. Do not play Russian Roulette with your body, it's the only one you have.

Had a covid heart attack due to blood clots forming like wildfire. Now on so many blood thinners is insane. Woke up this morning to peeing what I can only describe as pure blood. I get gross haematuria when riding my motorbike. At first, I thought it was from kidney buffering so wore a kidney belt. Now I believe it is direct pressure from the bike seat on the Urethra as when I ride it feels like someone has a small vice grip on my Urethra. My question is - can the blood emanate at the urethra. and not come from the kidneys. When riding the motorbike, I have to stop every 20 minutes and have a very excruciating pee that is very red with blood. Sometimes I am forced to stop and only a trickle comes out. After finishing the ride, I drink lots of water and after a few red pees it slowly starts clearing up to normal pee. I am now waiting on a gel seat that will hopefully be softer to sit on and absorb a lot of the road shock.

I just came across this video and I been experiencing the same thing and my problem been going on for 6 months now and it’s 3 plus blood and 2 plus protein in my urine .. I been to a urologist and a neurologist they can’t find out the reason why I’m having the problem.. I don’t have kidney stones they seen no sign of cancer or tumors nor did I have a UTI and they also told me my kidneys are working fine.. Have anybody experience this and can tell me what they diagnose was because they at the point they telling me they don’t know what’s going on so it’s nothing they can do!😩

We don't always have an answer in medicine for the specific cause of a test result. Often, we do tests to rule out the bad things such as cancer, infections, inflammation, stones. If the workup shows no bad things sometimes thats all we can say. If you are not having any symptoms and the workup is negative that is a good thing. Some peoples kidneys spill a small amount of blood and protein in the urine because the filter (the nephrons) have a small injury

@@labritt473 Unfortunately there is not a specific test for that. The presence of protein in the urine does suggest that the kidneys are "spilling" some products that they usually don't let out of the filter though.

Thanks so much for your time. So an update on me. I went back to my gynecologist for another urine test and there was no blood in my urine this time. PTL!! And I did figure out my problem I had been making myself some turmeric and ginger shots I made them so strong that it caused my kidneys to strain a bit. So no more turmeric and ginger shots for me. I hope you are doing fine.

Same Here. 10 years with this problem. But it’s not a problem if there’s no symptoms, pain or life threatening illness 🤔 I just wish I had a clear answer to WHY is there microscopic blood in urine. For now I thank GOD there’s nothing more serious going on 🙏

Doc found microscopic blood in my urine yesterday, I'm a kidney transplant patient so it's a pretty big concern. Had ultrasound tonight of my transplanted kidney and my native kidney's, they didn't see anything. More pee test to come for sure.

See a urologist for a CT Scan and Cystoscopy.Hematuria generally causes no pain. If a CT scan doesn't reveal anything, good for you! but cystoscopy is very important too. Cystoscopy basically uses a camera-in-tube to view through your penis via the urethra, down to the bladder, The camera is able to magnify lesions/tumors/cancerous cells no matter how small. Usually cystoscopy reveals abnormalities in the Urethra usually not detected by CT Scan. The abnormalities could range from cyst or tumors, the tumors could be Benign or Malignant, whichever case, your urology will always advise for a surgery to eliminate presence of any such tumors under supervised anesthesia. It is quite a safe surgery but could be very inconveniencing for the patient, since you have to go home with a catheter for some days to enable healing. Tumors situated in the urethra are often times caused by HPV virus or history of poorly treated bacterial infections like Gonorrhea, Research has also traced it to be predominant with people living with HIV that are not adhering to the use of the ART.
