FULL HEMI RESULTS. WHO WINS-TRUCK vs MAGNUM vs SRT8? We compared the Truck, Magnum and SRT8 intakes to a Mopar Performance single-plane on a small, Gen-3 Hemi stroker. Which one makes the most power? Most peak torque? Most Average Torque? Bonus Test-Edelbrock Dual-Quad vs MP Single Plane. Dual Quad Hemi FTW!

@@fascistpedant758 Yeah. But the total package on that magnum intake is very effective. If you shift at 5500-6200, you get a very nice long-lived package that runs GREAT without the hassles of higher RPM use.

Cam @ .50 is 256/262, Lift is .625/.625 LSA is 108 . When 1st installed in to a 65 Coronet,(3200 race wt) it had Haltech ECU , Ritter 4150 Intake, Accufab 4150 TB , 72LBS DeatschWerks Injectors , trans is TR6060 with PPG sequential shifter. Made a best pull of 700 RWHP At 7100, I know it had more in it , but didn't have the time to find "it" they made 6 passes with the car ,PB was 9.80@ 135MPH(700hp) , car was sold , New owner had worked for a CASCAR team, and wanted to go as old school as he could with a G3 , Same Ritter Intake manifold, FST 950CFM carb, Prefix timing cover, (both set ups ran a single spark plug) we chassied dyno the new combo, in 20* colder weather , it made best pull 755RWHP. The Car has gone as fast as 9.30@ 145MPH(750hp)......Now in all fairness , the "new old school" set up has had more "tunning time" and I honestly think it would of gone at least 9.50s with the some more tuning time on the orginal set up, I've driven the car a few times with both set ups and it has much better street manners with the Haltech, *Side Note " max power with both set ups is achieved @ 24 degress timming* this engine on superflow 901dyno, with a MSD Hemi 6 box and a 1050 Dominator on a modified R07 Intake made 775hp @ 7500.......I think with a Holley Hi-ram and 2x4BBL top it could make 800 in car with either set up...also this engine has never been ran on less then 112oct,

@@rickgehring7507 I'm guessing you were using an early g3 block, did you have to do any machining to the block?
@rickgehring7507
@rickgehring7507 Жыл бұрын
@@lanceshore Block was out of an 08 Challenger , the only machining that was done was to true up the decks and the bore, bore wouldn't clean up 4.065 which was why we went to 4.08, , ....but to install the Timing cover no machine work was done., there was some work done to the snout of the crank for the lower timing gear...................I will say this , at the time the set up cost $1600, maybe mid $1700, I'm sure it's got to be 2k now, I don't think it's worth it ,unless you have to have it for some sort of "class racing" rule, if you want to stay clear of Fuel Injection, The MSD Hemi-6 box is simple "tune" and comes with a good all round curve......the Ritter Intake needs some work on the back runners with a carb to get max effort out of the combo, but Prefix's single plane is well balanced out of the box.....your down about 25-30HP depending on Cam/Heads and level of effort with Prefix's Single plane.

Greetings! I've got a 2007 truck engine stroked to 397, Inertia Motorsports cam (adv 274deg .556 lift int, adv 285deg .558 exh, 110deg lsa, dur@.050 224int, 232exh), long tube headers, ~11:1cr, MDS delete, eagle heads (this is the source of my current conundrum). I have a charger timing cover available, so I can get around the typical truck intake obstructions. My stock '07 ram intake has a pretty serious port mismatch with the eagle heads. According to Inertia Motorsports, I should just make some paper gaskets and run my intake. After spending what I have at this point to stroke and cam my engine, using an intake with port mismatch seems seriously counter productive. Can you make a suggestion on what intake to use? I know people have used the MSD rpm window switch to run an active runner intake, but I have been told the actuator is controlled via PWM from the ECM, so straight voltage input from the window switch shouldn't work correctly. Seriously confused about which direction to go and hoping you have some input. I am only concerned about making the most torque possible as this is in a truck. High rev hp numbers are unimportant. Thanks!

the dual runner intake run on the 5.3l truck works well-try a simple voltage to the actuator to see if it works

Would have liked to see the difference with a stock 5.7 Hemi intake test. Box stock engine just change the intake. Headers vs stock manifolds too. Comparing a stock stroke to a stroker doesnt really show me anything. I have a 2003 Ram with the Hemi and I would like to see if its worth the stock intake to a Magnum intake. Oh well, good video though.

Could you do a test testing various different intercoolers with a turbo set up vs a blow through carbureted set up. Maybe varying the boost levels. When does running an inter cooler become worth it, or even essential, is basically what id like to know

Magnum intake manifold. Nice torque curve. Problem is they list 2 different intakes 2 different part numbers. One for a 2007 and 1 for a 2006.. which one did you use?

What version of head were you using comparing the truck, magnum and srt? You using eagle heads and manifolds or the pre 09 heads and manifold? The one picture of the dual quad manifold shows a pre 09 head port in the picture. That 6.1 intake not gong to work well on those heads not sure about the Mopar intake. Hs different ports than the early pre eagle 5.7 heads.
