That you strip your motor down to replace everything on your hemi where can I find cylinder head dowels and oil galley plugs? Looking to bond with my motor as I want to build it from the ground up using the 6.4 BGE /Hellcat short block

I'm in the process of this now and i made sure to polish my crank before putting it back in. Also the Rings i ordered from Hastings are out of spec. The Ring gap for the top ring is around 0.045 mm the factory spec is 0.23mm - 0.038mm. The original 200,000 mile rings are with in spec when i checked them. They are 0.038mm. Clegg Engine where i got the kit from wants me to measure every bore and email it to them so they can ship me the correct rings. Have you had this issue?

Why didn’t you put the sprocket bolts back in the front of the camshaft to make it easier to install rather than beating the shit out of the bearings

Did the crank pully have keyway or woodruff key insert

Most aftermarket cranks and balancers use a key. The stock crank and balancer are press fit - no key necessary.

Yeah in the video I did. Checking thrust after, it was obvious. Had to redo it.

Saul Cruz he forgot to insert thrust bearings on this video. Main cap fasteners CAN’T be reused. When rebuilding an engine the camshaft is one of the last components to insert.

So um do we not check tolerances of the bearings and crank journals anymore ? You should always check the tolerances of your crank and bearings and same with connecting rods and the crank journals. not enough and you will destroy your motor too much and same thing. Please for the love of god if your going to show people how to you need to include all the steps and tolerance is extremely important
