I’ve actually considered this because the pipe under the trans is so low it scrapes leaving out of steep driveways😢 if I lift it up anymore it would be way too close to the trans.. thanks for the feedback👏🏼

I’m new to channel, and I liked that setup u had with ur ram. I have 2012 ram 1500 stock and wanted to start building it nothing to crazy though. I was wondering if u could set me on the right road to start and give me a list on where to start and what to upgrade? A list to start modifying performance

Welcome and congrats on your ram bro! This is definitely a badass platform to mod and great community! If your like me I wanted to start off with the looks, so I started with a 2/4 drop.. aftermarket headlight and fogs.. but if you want to go ahead and start on the performance side of things I would definitely start with the Diablo sport tuner! Then I would go for a vararam cold air Intake, 180 degree thermostat, e fan.. and longtube headers.. in no particular order. I usually would do easiest and cheapest mods first😁

@@amaliodino9347 not too long because they have some tunes out the box ready for you to use.. once you get mods like longtube headers you'll need a custom tune.. but join fb groups on these rams and just soak in all the info you can

I would recommend you go with the 180 degree thermostat.

vwfreshness 180 ends up being upper 190s to be honest bro.. since these truck do have active grill shutters that close to help the truck get to operating temp faster, with my Efan and tune I stay around 185.. so with the 160 it ends up being a true 180🙏🏼

I run a 160 stat with max temp 170. Had to upgrade cooling system quite a bit to make it run 170. It's a huge improvement lots of benefits. I also removed the shutters- im in texas. Also deleted clutch fan.

Hey bro. When I checked out the link for the fan, I see that it’s for the Ram with a 3.6. I guess it is sufficient for the 5.7??? Do you have to use a lower temp thermostat or will it work with the stock one? I just bought a 2018 sport 2 door and really dig the mods you’ve done so far. I am thinking about some of these myself.

Congrats on the new truck bro!! So yea that is the correct fan! The V6 trucks come with these fans stock.. and it’s an upgrade for us.. go figure lol.. the 5th gens now come with this as a stock option actually.. you can run the e fan only without lower temp tstat but in order for you to get it to kick on earlier and effectively it would be ideal for you to have a tuner so you can adjust it.. or do like me and get your tuner to include it in your custom tune💯

I just picked up a 2016 scsb same color..just a tradesman.. Belltech lowered, same exact mods power wise except the catback. The guy I bought it from left the stock exhaust. He wanted a sleeper.. Does the exhaust drone inside the truck bad? I am trying to figure out what route to go. Flowmaster sells a full 3" catback exhaust but it says its LOUD. I don't want interior drone.. Just better sound.

Congrats on the new truck! Sounds like. Badass build! I love how my truck sounded but unfortunately it did have a lot of drone at cruising speeds😫 for me, idle and acceleration made it worth it but once I traveled some distance it definitely got old real quick 😣

I want full 3" but may go with 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet so I can go with a quieter muffler. This is a daily with some travel so the mrs won't like the drone, lol

What's up bro! This drive shaft was from driveshaft pro.. 100 percent recommend💯 I installed it with a friend pretty easily with simple tools 🔧 it's a two man Job.. just to help you lift a side. And just torque it to spec and you good bro🙌

Yes you can disable mds through diablosport.. choose your tune (89,91,93) and then go to modify parameters. The hemifever tune definitely does it as well.. and I don’t think an X pipe will throw a code.. but if you go catless it will, unless you tune it out (p.s hemifever and jay greene announced about a month ago he will no longer be tuning out emissions) just a heads up

Alfredo Saucedo if you get a catted y pipe I think so.. if you go catless like me you’ll need to get a custom tune, that’s what I did.. however a lot of tuners announced they will no longer tune out emissions I happened to get mine done just in time😅

Yea if your computer is still stock it is locked and unable to tune. Diablo sport can lead you in the right direction as far as unlocking it.

What's up bro!! And yes no cats! Tubed by hemifever ofcourse.. however! This was right before the RPM act.. I would talk to hemifever or the tuner of your choice and make sure they will still tune the cats out.. because I remember alot of tuners mentioning not messing with emissions after the RPM act.. doesn't hurt to double check before getting rid of the cats bro🙏

You can buy the tuner from diablosport website or Moe's performance.. if you have a 8 speed you'll need to buy an unlocked pcu as well.. with a 6 speed it's not necessary

The headers got sold out from Amazon where I purchased it bro.. but the brand is DNA motoring 1 7/8 longtube headers.. some people have found them on ebay.. they are around 350 or something I can't remember exactly and the y pipe around 100.. another alternative is JBA longtube headers they run about 6-700 bucks but there good headers! And still alot cheaper than alot of headers on the market
