I believe that Fine Clothes does affect the fight test on Hold Up, and I think it was clarified in for False Surrender, too. Fine Clothes effect any skill test, even nested ones, during the parley action, so even though you are taking a fight action, you are still resolving your Parley action. That's my reading anyhow.

You've probably already seen people point this out but Transmogrify can be used on Basic Weakness enemies. This makes it incredible for taking the legs off annoying ones like The Thing That Follows. It's also just a really good way to stop Hunter or Elusive enemies from moving, or enemies that can be moved by effects like the Deep One Bull. Massive also prevents engagement effects from triggering.

It's definitely cool tech for helping out with things like Deep One Bull or Nat Cho's signature weakness. It has more use cases than I originally gave it credit for, and seems like the card that handcuffs desperately wishes it were.

Fake Credentials could be super good in Trish, she can active her ability, and Parley doesn't cause AoO

For Persistence and Silas. You still have to shuffle it if you bring Persistence back to your hand if committed from the discard. There's already a precedent from the rogue suit of cards that creates a lasting effect to return to hand from an out of play area. So for persistence it creates a lasting effect the moment you commit it from discard and if you can track where it is no matter if it's in an out of play area (your hand in this case) you have to follow through and shuffle it!

Without Dev clarification, I'm not convinced of this either way. I can believe it would work like some of the edge cases with cards like Pilfer (3). I can also believe that for the same reason Daring doesn't work w/ Silas, Persistence also fails to trigger.

I like Hatchet in Rita because of her built-in way to kill enemies by evading. You can even evade an enemy, throw a hatchet at them with Dirty Fighting for 10+ skill value, and then deal the damage to kill them and pick up the hatchet. She also already likes Tool weapons to go with Crafty to pay for her Trick events.

I think if you follow the rules as written, this doesn't actually work because you can't initiate the Dirty Fighting Fight test until the original Evade test is over, so you can't order the reactions in that way. But that's kind of lame and is a significant nerf for Dirty Fighting in Rita, so I've just been ignoring that rule.

Grift isn't just an economy card, it's a test against 0 card. Want to oversucceed? This is a great enabler.

Wicked athame to do the third damage to a three health enemy that you just shriveled and adding a charge to shriveling seems good to me

I was also relieved when I saw all the details on Wilson. 3/3/3/3 investigators just suck but this one looks a lot more interesting without being funneled into Flamethrower/Runic axe/Cyclopean hammer. For Fine tuning I'd definitively pair that with Fingerprint kit 4 though.

I think wicked Athame is good in a Mystic fighter alongside your spell for killing 3/5 hitpoints enemies with a second action, gaining a charge instead of having to spend one.

Between fine tuning isn't the only seeker card that can untap, the raven quill can as well. Maybe there is some deck based on that possible?

Apparently they don’t want any sledgehammer 4 shenanigans, so Ad Hoc and Hand Eye coordination only ignore 1 action out of 3

Probably for the best since Hand Eye coordination stood to be a little game breaking and it'ss worded in a way that makes sense with that interpretation. I'm glad Wilson Richards still gets to make a ridiculous, sledgehammer meme deck. @@nicmichaud7868

False surrender is fun tech for Colt Pocket 0, Old Shotgun 2, and just generally a way to use your foot to fight, so good for Winifred or maybe finn. Though the problem is you don't benefit from any bonuses on the weapon itself if the bonus is fist. Grift is useful as a 0 value skill test to oversucceed on for something like Quick Thinking, Lucky Cig case 3. Drain Essence is great as a 2 health kill spell, and gives you a good reason to take physical trauma if you take In The Thick Of It. It also notably can allow Kohaku to kill Weeping Yurei in one action, and hes baseline 4 to 2, so you need to boost it, but its not unreasonble. Despite the timing of the video, it seems you made it more than a week before it released, because you didn't cover the other 4 masks in the series which the last was finally spoiled two days before this video came out.

Yeah, I recorded a good chunk of content during my break that didn't get posted until I knew I'd be able to actually maintain daily uploads again. Grift being useful for oversucceed triggers (in particular cigs 3) is something I definitely overlooked that gives it some value. Drain Essence making ItToI for 2 hp trauma good on mystics is pretty cool, and I think I generally understate the card (competing with Spectral Razor is a really good place to live, even if it doesn't make it into a deck). That said, I would only view that as good on 6hp mystics. Showing up with 3 hp and being dead to autofail grasping hands turn 1 is just a bit too sketch for me.
