The title and description are misleading. I was hoping to see how to set my serger to do a blind hem, at least explain what kind of stitch is used.
@sewway4 жыл бұрын
Change four threads exactly to color of fabric and the seam will be almost invisible. This method is never used for sewing clothes. But sometimes it can be used for sewing children's knit clothing.

@@sewway Thank you very much! I didnt think it would be that simple :) I will play with my serger now

Nothing at all misleading about this - if you wanted to learn about blind hemming then you should have searched for "blind hem". This is a regular hem using a flatlock stitch.

@@sewway You used only three threads in this video, correct?

That was almost useless.

K. Daskawicz what she did is known as a flat lock hem and she did it beautifully. Where’s your videos? Be nice.

Many thanks.

minot60 I know what she did is a flat lock hem. My whole point of searching for and watching the video is precisely so I could see up close how it's done. The video was essentially useless since I couldn't see what she was doing. My comment was meant as constructive criticism so maybe she can redo the video in a way that more people would find it to be useful. I've been sewing for over 50 years and have owned a serger for over 20 of those years. If I were making a video of any of the many sewing techniques I know how to do, I would show them up close so that people watching my video could learn.

K. Daskawicz constructive criticism has a tone, you were short and snarky. Best response- I’m sorry. All of us can be not nice online sometimes.

@@daskawicz this 2nd comment was constructive criticism, the first one was spreading hate. Tell me where the constructive part of “constructive criticism” is in the first part? You didn’t mention a single thing she could’ve done better to enhance your viewing experience. No need to write something like that at all unless you are actually trying to help like the 2nd comment. And she did get all up close? She zoomed in and out multiple times. Have you ever tried making a KZbin video? Its actually very challenging even for a quick video without being boring and getting everything the viewer wants. Feel free to upload something if you feel you can do better (:
