I visited three years ago. The docent in Hendrix's room was exceptionally knowledgeable and agreeable. One of the absolute highlights of my time in London.

My daughter and I were all set till go to London for two weeks till this virus hit. This was on my list of places to see. You were so fortunate to see London. As soon as this virus lifts I am gone. Keep your fingers crossed, I want to see London before it's too late for me.

I recently visited the flat and as a massive hendrix fan, i loved the feeling of the bedroom, seeing the records and information on his time living in london

How is it all of Jimi Hendrix's things are still there? He moved out in '69 to Notting Hill Gate and died there in a hotel. What happened to the flat after Jimi moved out and who lived there then? Was it always a flat up till recently?

Hendrix left Brook St to tour America in March 69 after playing Royal Albert Hall. He'd bought his own apartment (last on the market for 6 million) in New York in October 69, after he appeared at Woodstock. When he died he was in back in London for a short tour of Nothern Europe, and was staying at a hotel in Marble Arch. It was in the Nottinghill Hotel room of his female companion, he died. According to his management.He'd already booked studio time, and was due back the next day in New York to finish his album at Electric Ladyland Studios. Which he'd just built.
