Thanks Rick. I will run it a little while to see if any Mechanical upgrades are needed, The radio leaves a little to be desired. I am going to look for a sensitivity Adjustment but i dont hold out hope for this cheap radio system.

Cool RC tank but as someone who spent 11 yrs in the US army (2000-2011) how in the hell can the company that made this model have screwed the engine sound up so bad!!! The Abrams is known world wide for it's gas turbine engine! It sounds NOTHING like a diesel engine. I also don't like how the WHOLE tank jumps backward after firing the main gun because that isn't realistic. In reality most of the recoil is absorbed by the recoil system. So everytime you see the gun fire, the gun will go backwards into the turret exactly 24 inches (2 feet). The Abrams weighs about 70 tons, to it would take a HUGE gun to make it jump backwards like that lol.

Tamiya’s 1/16 rc kit has reproduced the M1 very faithfully, even the engine sound and the barrel recoil. It even has gun barrel control where the main gun remains pointed where you target it even if the hull is moving left or right just like the real thing. The thing is, it’s gonna set you back close to $1600 including the remote and paint job.

MOST of the Heng Lung and Torro tank models can have the recoil action turned off on the control board. Check the instructions or their web page.

Very good review. I know that its a inexpensive Chinese Tank toy but that's not the point. Yest the engine sound is wrong, and yes there is no smoke from a gas turbine.one could make all the upgrades you could to it but in the end it's, as you put it, a cheap Chinese toy What I found was your review was fairly well done and showed be what I need to know about this product. I think it's a bit expensive for what it is. But otherwise it might make a nice toy for a kid to play around with. I will stick to my Tamiya M1A2 a true hobbyist tank a lot more expensive but worth it. Thank you for your review.

Say I just got my Heng long M1A2 Abrams pro version. I have a guestion hopefully you can help. So far first run and I’m disappointed in it. The tank pulls to the right so bad I have too give full left trim in it and it still pulls a little bit. But when I go to turn left it won’t turn. Now when I put the trim back too neutral then I get left turn. I can’t find anything to show how too maybe adjust the motor or tracks. Can you help me. If so awesome and thanks.

Check the rpm for both left and right tank tracks. It could be either the drive motor on the left or the left gearbox. Or the drive shaft for the left sprocket is too tight in the bushing. A bit of WD40 might loosen it up.

Your kidding right? If anything runs on liquid fuel and uses an oil as a lubricant, it generates smoke. Combustible engines 101. And this is a child's toy.
