This is in response to the girl who wrote in saying that her hair was damaged after using the henna that contained other herbs. A year ago or so I tried this Nupur henna from Amazon that had a bunch of other herbs in it, and I had a bad allergic reaction. I hated henna after and completely wrote it off saying it didn’t work for me. Flash forward I’m hearing a ton of great things about amla and brahmi. I decide to do a patch test, and had a bad reaction. I then realized that perhaps it was the added herbs in the henna that I was allergic to, and not the henna. I ordered my first pack of pure henna about six months ago, with nothing added, and my hair loved it. It takes work, but sometimes you have to test things individually to see what works for you before putting the whole spice rack in your hair lol good luck ladies 💁🏾‍♀️

For a year, I used The Henna Guys which was great. Someone gave Nupur henna and it damaged my hair. It stretched my hair to the point where I lost elasticity and my curl pattern. I would not use Nupur.

ScAmazon is a buyer's beware. Got a horrible, horrible rash from some black seed oil off Amazon. I go there for very little now. They are putting water into conditioner and shampoos, to be able to divide the contents of one bottle across two. Super extra on ScAmazon.

@@rw4526 Just follow exactly what Curly Provervz says. I mainly do alot of cowashing and only shampoo about 1x/week. I use deep conditioner (Shea moisture products and DIYs) mixed with Cassia and throw in some Aloe Vera powder). And I also mix up an oil for moisture that includes coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter plus a few extras. DIY's include deep conditioning masks made with yogurt and banana (throw in a few drops of olive oil, essential oils)....super moisturizing!! I also massage my scalp regularly with the same oil plus peppermint essential oil. For me the ultimate game changer has been keeping that moisture in my hair. Oil my hair at night and braid my hair to go to bed. I have 3B curls. My hair *was* never healthier before in my life. *Stupid me decided I was bored with my black hair and needed to cover some grays so I went to a salon and colored my hair red. The lady put bleach in my hair. Need I say more? My hair is a HOT ASS MESS. Two years of progress completely down the drain. The other day I almost broke down crying. My curls ain't poppin and my hair is so frizzy. I still have some length but it's basically back to the drawing board. Stay natural. Do not veer off track. If you ever want to experiment with hair color, buy a wig!!!! Lesson learned.

Thank you so much, CP! You're the best! You've changed my hair and life! When I first started my ayurvedic regimen in late 2019 after watching your videos, I was using Cassia that I bought when I was home in the US for the holidays. My Cassia ran out and I couldn't find any in Sydney (Aus). I was worried that the henna would change my hair color. I ended up finding henna (Nupur brand) in a store here and took the plunge! That was in November 2020. And right before that, I decided to trim my hair because after flat ironing it for the second time that year (2020 - flat ironed my hair for my birthday in October), I could see that I needed one. I ended up cutting about 2+ inches. It's been about 2.5 months and my hair has grown about 2 inches. The growth is so noticeable! This is the most it's ever grown... EVER... in such a short amount of time! I do a gloss every week and massage with the CP concoction/oil every 2 days. I also moisturize my hair every 2 days. When I tell you my hair is flourishing! I've never experienced this! I love it so much! Thank you so much, CP, for sharing your knowledge with us! Most people would keep that a secret but you didn't! And we are all so grateful! God bless you, dear!

I have been using henna for a long time. My hair was NOT really gaining length. I re examined my routine. Since my hair was short, there was no way I could part into 4 sections. YET. So I slowed down the past couple of months and for each product I applied on wash day, I sat in my chair, took my time and two strand twist my entire head of hair. After two months I have gained about 2-3 inches of length. My hair is 4 c so it is extra coily and my strands needs to be coated all the way down. Just when I think I know my hair, I discover something new. My DIY aloe vera oil, with msm is the 💣. It is my fav. Great vid Curly. Can’t wait to use your henna, my next wash day ✌🏾

Great video love🥰. @ Curly Proverbz I have a question... I've dyed my hair using henna and indigo that's premixed. My question is do you think I could use this mix in my tea/glosses in place of regular henna?.... because I want to keep my hair black.

Hey CP? I just wanted to see if I was understanding the answer to the last question correctly.....so you don’t have to dc after henna treatment? If so is a rinse out conditioner needed or just go straight to styling after henna?

I had a system with my henna use. I put it in a container, added hot water, added paprika cause I'm fiery, stir with a wooden chopstick and slapped it on as I sat on the floor with a few VIVA paper towels in front of me. Would wear Dollar Tree rubber gloves (the pink ones) to do the job and kept the mess to a minimum. I made my henna somewhat thick. Had teens playing video games (Halo) around me, so I tried my best to keep it neat.

PLEASEEEEEE can you please!! also answer for the tea rinse you have. Like how long do you leave when making your tea rinse to infuse it? afterwards do you store it in the fridge? When I want to use the tea rinse then do I put it out and apply it while it is cold? I am doing your lavender, rosemary, and chamomile tea rinse right now? and also can I use rice water for like pre-shampoo with my gloss? Thank you so much and love you girl!

Hey CP wanted to inquire about the henna and coffee mask you did about a week or two ago. Basically wandering if you actually used this in your hair or was it just a thought that it would be nice . If you used it how in the bloody blue vein did you get the coffee grounds out of your hair. I did it last week and it was the 2nd most exasperating that I have done to my hair.. I followed your recipe but girrrrl Istill have a few grounds falling out. I shampooed, rinsed then next day did mielle rosemary mint Deep Conditioner used slippery elm with it, rinsed it and it took forever, then applied TGIN green tea leave in. Truly girrrrl what did you do?

I am a new subscriber, and have a couple of questions... I just watched the video on the process for the oil that grew your hair in 3 months. Sounds good, except I have questions about the henna. Prior to using a no lye, no ammonia, no alcohol semi-permanent rinse (med cherry-brown), I used brown henna mixed with green tea, honey & a couple of teaspoons of the semi-permanent color I now use alone. My hair at that time was a lighter brown mix. {I was searching for a color I could love} It was my understanding that there are different colors of henna, and so I am concerned with using henna because I adore my med cherry brown hair, and I don't want black hair or any other color. Also, just for reference - I started greying at age 17 - many many years ago, so my now natural color is NOT an option. Can you enlighten me as to how your henna works? I'm really confused. Secondly, I have fine, low porosity hair and have had good results with moringa oil for hair growth, but it seems no matter what product I use, when I take out my twists for a wash & go look, my hair feels soft and moisturized, but doesn't look hydrated. The only time I have curl definition is just by untwisting my twists and leaving the hair to create its own style during the course of the day. I know that is lame, but if I start to pull my hair apart or tease it or any of the other methods I see others use, I end up with "cotton candy" hair - no definition, no shine, just looking real damn frizzy - aka - hot mess. Please help & thanks.

Her henna is just going to color it reddish color. It doesn’t have indigo in it to make it dark. I don’t know if you do the LCO or the LOC method to seal in hydration. It’s trial and error with products and techniques. 😫I never tried denmen brushes for curl definition but some people like it. Could also clarify your hair more often if you don’t already. Maybe 2x a month. Definitely once a month. Clay washes are good as well.
