I knew it had the 5.2 block, but cross-plane crank design, but I didn't think it had almost as high of a redline as the flat-plane crank Voodoo engine in the GT350, awesome!

Great video. Just one small error-it is a 7 speed DCT, not an 8 speed. The Challenger Hellcat Redeye has an 8 speed ZF auto.

I got my basic gt 5.0 up to 154. 140 is slow for 1000hp car. Why is it so slow or are ypu too scared to get above 140. Or maybe your track isn't long enough. Just curious to this

Sorry but 1000hp is not really impressive now a days, expected 1000rwhp would be somewhat impressive, nowadays every other modified street car are running 1000hp, maybe it's just me idk I expected better from Hennessey instead of some basic bolt ons you can get Lund racing tune for you for no more than 3k for everything on that video.

I don't think anyone debates that a dct is faster then a standard 5 or 6 speed manual transmission.. We do debate that a 6speed is more fun and gives u a feeling of connection with the car.. also u cannot debate the much higher cost of repair of a dct compared to a reg 6 speed

That thing is running way too rich guys. You need to improve the coolant flow via a proper water pump then the thing can run a lot leaner. I run a 5 litre coyote in a Ford Factory supercharged V8 in an Aussie utility and we could not keep the thing on the dyno after improving the coolant flow by modifying the pump to take a proper stainless steel impeller.
