Great tour. I keep a running list of hotels and restaurants for future travel. The Henri is definitely going on the list. Cheers!

Have you seen the new photos from Virgin Voyages? Very hipster cruise line.

The food looked interesting, from the distance, at least… But the vistas, I guess, would be much more inspiring from SAS Hotel, besides it is in the park, by the beautiful ponds… Integration of the bathroom into the living space is a very bad idea in my opinion. Excessive moisture in the room, malodors and so on and so forth… Besides, they didn’t happen to concern themselves with installing the retro sink by the retro lavatory… Thus, the soiled hands would be touching groping many surfaces… Not the hotel like, vacations experience. Would I like to stay in this hotel? To be honest, I liked Hamburg as a city quite a lot, despite all the morons I encountered there (amongst the red tape sneer mocking bureaucrats, mocking deceitful “academics”, railways station personnel, police, emigration, unfriendly immigrants, etc.. and others)… It was not my choice to visit this Hanseatic city, but in retrospect I feel rather glad, that I witnessed Hamburg. It is really cute! The change of seasons, mild winter and the nature by the ocean… A very romantic Nordic place… So, I’d like to revisit Hamburg, staying even in the tent in from of the RatHaus as the action of peaceful protest (they really must reduce the amount of liars and criminal idiots in all the stratums of the Hamburg’s being, including the Max Plank Institute for International Law). You can enter that building, but to exit you need a code… And Henri hotel… depends on the prices, availability… but, again: I think, SAS is the most inspiring and vertical place for me. Though, naturally, there are such hugely historic establishments as Kempinski Atlantic, Four Season… By the way, Gary: have you visited the Captains Restaurant / Bar in Hamburg. If so, - what was your experience? Reportedly it is a very Hanseatic aquatic history place.

Thanks for your detailed thoughts. I liked Hamburg. Not been to that restaurant
