i always loved that they kind of subverted elemental personality archetypes in this show. they gave the nerdy girl fire, an aggressive element, the spunky girl water, a passive element, and the preppy girl earth. i guess hay lin was sort of the exception, but yeah

I always love Taranee because of her intellect. Her fire was her weapon but her intelligence was her power.

Ikr! I love how her intelligence and how outspoken make her who she is! She is my favorite character! If I was on the show, I would love to be the next Guardian in my loyal friend group after WITCH, I would love to have a Pyro element and Taranee makes for a great mentor similar to how Kadma taught Cornelia about how to improve her Geo and Dendro elements. My theory is that if you have Geo and Dendro, the progress itself lies with patience, hard work, and loyalty. Pyro is intelligence, courage and self control, Anemo focuses on confidence and curiosity, Hydro is all about intuition and trust, while Electro is all about leadership, resourcefulness and ambitiousness because Will and Nerissa were leaders of WITCH and CHYKN.

Taranee is badass, but her outfit and spider hairstyle in the guardian form has always bothered me as a kid oof, she looks like she's about to hit the gym, not shoot fireballs and fight monsters

@@afriendlypoltergeist4073 yeah but martial arts are different than jogging. and honestly I can't quite remember the details, putting the story aside and purely from the perspective of character design i just feel like her outfit doesn't quite fit the vibe, just my personal opinion

@@afriendlypoltergeist4073 once again, im looking at it from the perspective of character design and even though outfit like that can be comfy, does it really fit into the fantasy theme that well? I can see why the artist made that choice and it sort of makes sense when you want to build contrast between the medieval themed fantasy world and our modern world, but I'd do it differently if I were in her shoes. i used to do karate and also wore sweatpants and a t-shirt, but it doesn't mean it'd be the best choice when it comes to visual storytelling and aesthetics, esp if the setting has some fantasy elements to it. I just think it's extra anticlimactic lol like, there's a reason why ranma's iconic outfit is what it is instead of sweatpants. i don't really have anything else to say, i just personally don't like her costume. it's alright if people don't agree with me, everyone's got a different taste (^^ゞ

the original artist of the comic is called allessandro Barbucci and he is still writing, but not on the witch serie. you should check Ekho or sky dolls. He was the main artist and the writer was Elisabeth Gnone. But the story is quite different from the animation show.

I like on how her use of Pyrokinesis isn’t at all based on Fury and Rage 😡 like a ton of fire elementals her use of fire is gorgeous. The only other character who can do this is Erika Wagner from Under Night.

I didn't like her character design too. In the comics it looks like her hair is more as an braid hairstyles while the animation they give more like an dreadlocks vibe which is cool but it doesn't had the same delicated movement. I really like her clothes tbh, don't see any problem with that. But in the comics, after they discovered the New power, her character design is sooo badass that compensates lol

I always liked her design. Aside from the glasses. They never suited her. Her hair and costume reminds me of a performer in a Chinese circus. But if I could change that hair, I'd make it longer in one single braid that goes down her back, a lighter blue to better compliment her light brown skin.

I blame Taranee's powers being under-played mostly on the fact that this is a kids show. Seeing her burn someone to death might raise some concern from the parents.
