Super excited and tbh I think his love of models could come into production Peter Jackson lotr trilogy implemented "bigatures", combined with natural landscapes and MINIMUM CGI, and since cavill is a hardcore he could utilize similar techniques for the hive citys, ships, etc. With MAXIMUM detail as well as utilize practical effects for daemons, cultists, nurgles rot, etc

An excellent Eisenhorn would be Henry. Eisenhorn is a damned fantastic character whose arch is still in progress and will play a significant role in the new narrative over the coming years, and he looks the part. A season or two of Xenos would be fantastic!

ok I am an enormous Warhammer fan and people telling me to read Eisenhorn almost killed my initial enjoyment. Don't get me wrong, they are great books, but they are closer to sci fi noir books with Warhammer terminology. I don't think they are as great of an intro to the Warhammer universe as many people claim. Ciaphis Cain would be a lot better option for mainstream Warhammer books. They are somewhat lighthearted while not completely forsaking the dark fantasy aspect, the heroes generally win, and there is a monster of the week in each book.

I been playing 40K since 1989 when I was 11 and found the 1st Ed. Rogue Trader Hardback with a box of plastic Space Marines at a Waldenbooks for $39.95 took me 2 months to save up and buy it. After reading the lore I was hooked and have been ever since and I have been waiting for a 40K live action show or movie ever since...I know this is going to be an amazing project and I can't wait

I know this won’t be the most popular take, but it would make a lot of sense, from a marketing and freedom of creation standpoint to have him play Titus. A lot of people who don’t play Warhammer 40k but play the games know who Titus is and even if they don’t know a lot of Warhammer lore, Titus is a familiar face. Because there isn’t tons of and tons of Titus content, they could write Titus into a variety of situations and his resistance to warp makes it so he could be involved in lots of stuff that normal ultra marines wouldn’t and the skepticism and concerns about him being corrupted brings. Titus is, in my opinion, a character that already somewhat looks like Henry Cavill, is one of the only known Warhammer characters outside of the table top players and there’s just enough there in the right time of drama in the Imperium to make it fun.

Henry Cavill needs to talk to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, et al., about how to keep his new series on track for the fans. The studio(s) will want to wreck his 40K show, and he needs to keep a tight rein (or reign in this case) on any changes that go against the Lore. It's the Lore that brings the fans and it's the fans who love being able to dig into the Lore!

I don't doubt Henry can pull it off in terms of getting the story right, my main interest is how they will pull off the visuals, with space marines standing at roughly 7-8ft tall and Primarchs standing at 11--12 ft tall and having demi god like bearing it's going to be an incredible feat to nail it. Technically Henry could play the Emperor AND his children, the Primarchs, since technically they’re all his kids and with a few posture, voice and makeup changes, play all of them. Eddie Murphy appeared in movies where he practically played all the characters.

Thank you! I also think Eisenhorn would be the best story to convert to screen and falls into the same thing that the witcher was when it came out. Personally I want to see Caville as Dante in the devastation of ba'al but to put that to screen would cost a whole heap more than the Eisenhorn series would. Also Caville is a custodes fan and there's custodes in Eisenhorn.

I think he should play Big E and some if not all of the Primarchs, since they are supposed to be E's children he could give them a family resemblance, and use prosthetics and explore his acting chops by voicing and acting them whenever they crop up. Also he could be a Custodes Aquilan Shield protecting someone important in any storyline.

Henry shouldn't / can't play the Emperor, because no one can look on the Emperor's face without being blinded. We'd never be able to see him. But if they did that, I would LOVE to see the story starting in the 25th millenmium, working through the end of the dark ages, the Emperor creating the Thunder Warriors, reuniting Earth, conquering the solar system - the galaxy - starting the primarch project - weave in flashbacks of ancient earth, how the Emperor was ALWAYS there.

I don’t know how you don’t start with the Emperor. He is the most complicated and overarching figure in the Universe. Any show must explain to audiences The Emperor of Mankind, the Warp & Chaos gods, the Necrons and of course the Asarties. Everything else beautifully fun like the Orks, Tyranids, Hive cities, etc…. This is going to be the hardest adaptation in movie history lol. I would have chosen animation and used star actors for the voice overs. Live action for 40k seems will seem like watching your kids 8th grade stage play, with a lot of “interpretation” going on but no real images of battle, controversial plot direction (real fans know what I mean) and character development that I think you can only really achieve this type of scope and mass in animation; over years and years, like One Piece. I hope I’m wrong because we love 40k.

If they are planning to do an interconnected live action universe it actually would be in their better interest to start with the Horus Heresy. The general-masses are not very good at putting things together so the more in order you can make events the less they will get confused. It would also allow them to explain some fundamental things that folks should know without having to do weird expo-dumps. For example: We won't need someone in the film to explain what an Inquisitor is if we see the founding of the Inquisition. Horus Rising is an amazing place to start. Cavill playing Horus and then Abaddon.
